okay LISTEN

Amycus tilted their head back slightly before pulling their long green hair into a ponytail. The sighed before tucking their shirt into the hem of the skirt before leaning forward to grab their robe. Footsteps could be heard coming up from behind as Amy gripped the fabric and began slipping the robe on. The stranger seemed to have stopped, but the feeling that they were being watched annoyed Amy. They huffed before turning around to greet the person, "Is there an issue here?" They asked calmly with a warm smile but with a threatening glimmer in their eyes.

“Huh?” Davey was fully focused on picking an annoying piece of lint off his sweater. The more he picked at it, he realized it was just a little tear in the fabric, and now he was actively making it worse. He hadn’t even noticed there was another person in the corridor until they spoke. “Oh- No, I’m just- My sweater?” he pointed at the hole, assuming that’s what they were talking about.

BOGGART:

        Davey’s boggart is simple enough: It’s Voldemort. Ever since learning that there was some... guy? some entity? some thing? out there who wanted him and people like him gone, Davey’s been afraid of him. Since Davey doesn’t exactly know what Voldemort looks like, the boggart takes the form of a faceless man with flowing black cloaks, pointing a wand at him. 

        Casting riddikulus turns the faceless man into a terrible circus clown, one that is only funny because he’s so very bad at being a clown. If they’re working on boggarts in class, he typically needs a professor’s help in casting riddikulus. 

PATRONUS:

       Lucky if even a wisp of a patronus emerges from his wand when casting expecto patronum, Davey will never be able to cast a corporeal patronus. He’s not good enough at magic, folks! The happy memory he draws from when trying to cast his patronus (not that he tries often) is the first time his dad taught him to ride a bike. It’s his very first memory, and one that fills him with absolute joy.  

At last. 

Mary eyed the slice of cake in her hands with such adoration - probably far too much adoration for a piece of cake - but she’d been dreaming the entire night of eating it and house-elves be damned, nothing would stop her. She’d snuck out of bed in the early hours of the morning in all her pajama’d glory and found her way into the kitchens and to her delight, there was one slice left. Those selfish Slytherins had hoarded the whole thing at dinner earlier that night and Mary had spent the entirety of her evening glaring at them from her table. 

And none of that would have mattered, but right as Mary lifted the slice to her lips to indulge her cravings, the sound of someone’s voice behind her gave her such a fright that it was thrown high into the air, crashing down with a devastating splat. She turned to face the culprit with a pained look on her face.

“I hope you understand the severity of what you’ve just done.”

“I-” All he had wanted was a snack, that’s all he had wanted, and now here he was: the villain in a cake crime. Davey looked at the cake splatted across the floor, then up at Mary, then back to the cake, then back to Mary. “Um, I’m no good at baking so I can’t fix that, but I can save you a piece next time there is some? Or... something?”

“Are you sure you want me to read your tea leaves?” Usually, it would have been an instant yes. But she had been feeling on edge all day and she was tired. And she should probably say no but…her love of the pastime overshadowed all of that. “If I do you need to promise not to get mad if it’s something bad.”

“Only if you want to, I’m not gonna, uh, like force you to tell my future or anything.” Davey mostly just wanted to see if he would pass tomorrow’s charms quiz. “Yeah, I promise. I can pretty much guess the worst, anyway.” That would probably be failing tomorrow’s charms quiz. Or finding out there wouldn’t be flapjacks at breakfast anymore.
