If you do not enjoy the flavor of the cake, step away without telling the baker (author) about it, and go find a flavor you do like

You can easily avoid allergens (things that squick you out) by paying attention to the ingredients (the tags, and filtering out the tags you don’t like)

If you’re suddenly too full (liked a fic up to a certain point, but then stopped enjoying it), you don’t need to explain that to the baker, you can just step away from the cake

Just because you only enjoy one or two flavors of cake that a baker makes doesn’t give you the right to be rude about all the rest of the flavors that same baker makes

Again; the cake you are getting is free. Unless asked for, don’t provide criticism on the flavor, the baker’s skills, the ingredients, etc.
