Charlie had worked with the girl before but it had been long after that he found out she helped his brother. Rodgers was known to find himself in trouble but this, this was a whole new kind of trouble. “We have our sister in safe hands, that- that at least I can thank you tremendously for.” 

He didn’t know what he would do if he lost both. The agent just sat back in his chair, baffled. “I don’t- I don’t even know where to start.” Once it became personal it was like his head fogged over any expertise he had. “He had the cell phone I gave him on him- made they haven’t found it yet.” 

One weight was lifted as she heard that their sister was safe. “At least we have her..” She ends up paraphrasing back in her soft shocked tone. Her gut twisted, the tight hot feeling in her chest getting worse. “You don’t have to thank me- she’s where she’s supposed to be.” Penny says a bit louder again, trying to force a less sad look on her face. Her internal monologue begging the tears not to keep falling. 

“Well we can start with Tech because- hi- me.” Almost instantly as she pulled out her tablet and started getting to work. Her casual tech mention fitting with his continuation. “Phone- yes, phone, that’s it. We can try that. Also last whereabouts?”

“Well I mean awkward sex stories are always kind of a hoot.” Garcia says with a little shrug. “And I happen to have a bit.. actually, looking back on it I think most of my sex stories are awkward.” She pauses, taking a gasp. “Oh my god- have I only had like 2 good partners??”

Charlie couldn’t even look the other in the eyes. He didn’t know how to break it to them about what was going on. Not only that but Charlie believed that this was all his fault.

“Rodgers is missing. We believe it has something to do with the mafia in the city.”

Penelope’s heart broke almost instantly. Tears started to well in her eyes as a forced confused smile covered her lips. “You have to be kidding....you are kidding, right?” She asks softly as the contorted smile droops into a frown. She didn’t help him in time? Or his sister? Shit. “..h-how can I help?”

“I don’t know if Garcia prefers Classic Who or New Who and I need to find out… The fate of my convention going status depends on it.”

“Oh c’mon now, String-Bean, I thought you knew who my favorite was!” The blonde calls out, almost a little offended. “ It’s a lot like Star Trek- I respect the originals, but the new captain will always have my heart. That being said, Jean-Luc over Kirk and Matt Smith over the classics.” She pauses, wincing slightly at the possible rejection.. “..so...are we still going?”

“well five days back I got a phone call.. I heard nothing but breathing on the other end so I hung up and yesterday I got a very strange text”

He nearly spit out his coffee as she finished her sentence. Instead he managed to gulp the remaining in his mouth down and respond back- honestly a bit shaken for her. “Oh..Oh okay-” He knew that wasn’t good. A stalker repeating habits? Sure- but worse: escalating. “..what did the text say?” He asks while setting his cup so it rests on the table, his hand hovering around it for warmth as his spine went cold.

“Dr. Reid? It’s Piper.. Piper Shaw.. The one that you helped a while back.. I May need your help.. Again.. Other subject though.. Gosh I don’t know how to start this”

Spencer didn’t know her number, but he remembered her. How could he forget the day he embarrassed himself in a diner? He couldn’t. He also couldn’t forget her story, so a new -potentially worse- problem wasn’t something he was excited to hear about. “Yes! O-of course, Piper. What- uh- what can I do for you?” The doctor asks a bit softer into his phone as he sat at a booth in the shop to sip his coffee and listen to her. “I’ve got all day so, take your time..Unless it’s time senstive, of course.”

“Hm? Oh, I’m fine, but I got an extra Chess Monthly magazine delivered by accident, and an old friend send me a book of math puzzles that I think you’ll like. You want em?”

Spencer was a bit surprised to say the least, his head jolting back every so slightly to accompany the notion. A small smile started to cross his lips and he nodded a bit. “Yeah- actually, that’s really nice of you. You didn’t have to, you know- and to be honest, I was worried this was for something much-much worse. I feel bad I don’t have anything to give you back.”

Shaw was better from her injury thanks to the doctor she met by chance.. She had his number in case she needed assistance.. And sadly or not, it was the case.. She called him wondering if he knew someone that could help or if he’d help her himself

The phone started buzzing wildly in his pocket and with a polite “Excuse me” he left his barista a tip and turned away with coffee in hand to answer the call. Though when he got a look at the screen, it was a number he hadn’t saved and didn’t remember. Which was strange for him. He answers. “This is Doctor Reid?” He asks into the device as it rests on his ear, to be met with...
