GAP GAME 2015

A member of the Small-Gaps Family 

While wandering about a district, while roaming the city, students will take notes of their journey and draw a map out of it. They will notice hollow places, spaces, empty places… These might be 5 sqcm, other 50 sqm wide. The students will choose of these « gaps », or maybe a series of gaps which look alike, and they will imagine a play area. It could be a play area for children, or for adults, a playground, in relationship with its surroundings, insitu interaction. Let’s create, let’s install and let’s play!

Let`s play now. Once the group arrived to the place with a help from posters, Antoine was the first player and Petronille the second one. Petronille directly went to the yellow box and took a blue chalk, closely followed by Antoine; she managed to draw the arrow first and ran to the location of the blue box. Inside she found a shape and Antoine managed to understand that it was similar to the form on the wall, on the other side of the street. They crossed the street and both opened the green box; they had been quite surprised to find red wool, until they figured out the rule. So Antoine took the advantage by connecting the hooks in the right way. The missing word appeared and they realised that they had to ‘Step on the pavements’. Petronille took the opportunity of taking the lead of the race, by jumping from a step to another. They finally found the last box: they used the nearest gap as a target to get the title of the king (or queen!) of the street. [Petronille won 5:2]

The day of hard work ! ended with succes ! we are very happy for that :D

Today while the gapfighters were working hard to make the super amazing "#6Who is the clever one?" Game they had a little but very famous guest...kazimierz tourist red cat ! Don't worry nobody was hurt except our little heart when we left him.

We are the gapfighters! 'GAP' ... 'FIGHTERS'! So, if you want to play our game, you need some energy, power and speed! Make now two teams, the triangle team and the circle teamThe first person start running this relay race and try to be that fast as he can to find the red sticks in the spider web, without touching the ropes, and run back to the his team. 'RUN AND JUMP, RUN AND JUMP, RUN AND JUMP, ...' Now, after this awesome and exciting relay race in the dark, you need to make the best trophy with the red straws/sticks and then you win the game of the most clever one! Congrats! Tired and hungry now? Perfect, you can go to the foodtrucks with the best belgium fries around the corner and enjoy your break!
