sorry for the disappearance! fixing up our previously flooded basement, and then catching a cold kinda took my time away. i’m feeling a bit better and should get back to a schedule soonish! 

almost immediately nelliel stood between the boys, she put her hands together as if she was imitating holding a microphone. ‘ladies and gentleman, what a sight we have tonight. these two powerful contenders will battle it out to see just WHO will team up with hueco mundo’s badminton champion, yours truly.’ she paused, raising her hand to gesture towards pesche. ‘to the left, we have the mysterious PESCHE GUATICHE!!’ nelliel mimicked a crowd’s cheer into her hands. without any pause, she did the same gesture to her right, towards dondochaka. ‘and to our right, we have his opponent. the illustrious DONDOCHAKKA BRISTANNA!!’ once again, nelliel makes the crowd cheer with excitement. she stepped away from the two, giving them room to play their game. ‘i hope everyone’s in their seats, because this is going to be the battle of the CENTURY! ‘ she raised her hand, only to swiftly bring it down forward. ‘ GO! ‘

just as she was about to give up, and go fill the empty pit that was her stomach, she just barely heard footsteps around the corner. it felt almost like her animal instincts kicked in, and without a second thought she hurried forward, sliding around the corner as she yelled. ‘AHA! there you ar━ ‘ only to find it wasn’t her fracción. now instead of hunger, the only feeling she had was waves and waves of embarrassment quickly crushing her.

so my basement flooded a few nights ago, that’s been taking up a lot of my time.

she couldn’t help but laugh, ‘yes! i’m also doing quite well, now that i’m feeling myself again.’ it must be jarring to see her go from a small child to the woman she is now. she could only think back to everyone else’s reactions, and laugh to herself once more. ‘i hope you’re doing well! it’s been far too long!’ 

‘they’re well! we’re all doing so well. we’ve still been rebuilding things here in las noches. as you can see it’s still a bit of a mess, but it’ll all come together soon!’ nelliel briefly looked at her surroundings, tools, paint, you name it, and it was probably scattered on the floor somewhere. arrancars could be heard chatting in the distance. ‘nobody’s trying to kill each other, surprisingly.’ she laughed softly, her cheeks almost hurting from the big smile she wore. 

nelliel has a lot of inner conflict when it comes to her being a hollow. she doesn’t talk much about it, thinking that even acknowledging it gives it power over her. but theres a reason shes a hollow. she understands the bloodlust, the emptiness, and the animalistic urges. there were certainly times where she considered taking up nnoitra’s offer to end his miserable existence. she chose not to though. she actively chooses against indulging in these urges. her life as a adjucha, then vasto lorde were very different from her life now as an arrancar. she was a different person then. this is usually why she tends to be so critical of people like nnoitra and grimmjow. thinking if she can control herself, why can’t they? her standards can be extremely high, whether she knows it or not. but it’s also why she takes her status as a warrior so seriously. she fights to protect, not for sport. and she finds it very hard to find respect for those who do the opposite. 

‘well it’s very nice to meet you ashura! i’m nelliel, i was the uhh..’ she took a moment to do the quick math in her head. ‘the original tres espada, i’m not really sure how many came after me aha...’ it was always weird talking about her past as an espada member. it usually got mixed reactions. what really troubled her though, was how many arrancars she never had the chance to meet during her time here.

 he could be such a child sometimes, did he know that? ‘you’re so frustrating.’ she inhaled, then exhaled. already having enough of his poor attitude. ‘does what i say really upset you this much? you should know by now my intentions are never to anger you, grimmjow..’ nelliel would be lying if she said she didn’t want to understand him, but there were certainly times where she felt like she was dealing with nnoitra all over again. though she’d never tell him that, an insult even she would never throw around. 

‘orihime!’ nelliel could barely contain her excitement. it felt like forever since she’s seen her human friend, only seeming to come into contact when the worlds about to end, leaving them little to no time for actual conversation. she gently grabbed orihime’s hands, holding them in her own. ‘oh, i hope you’re doing well! it’s been forever!’

oh, now this was a tricky situation. badminton wasn’t no joke! choosing a partner would take some serious thinking, and if she wanted to win she’d have to choose wisely. ‘hm...’ nelliel hummed as she scanned over her two brothers. ‘you’re asking a lot of me, you know my status as the badminton champion of hueco mundo. i’ll have to see your skills before making a final decision!’
