The Steel Wall

Gamagoori makes his rounds in the late hours of the night. Rain falls lightly around him. It never bothered him much to patrol the grounds while the rain fell, so long as it was a rainfall that didn’t hinder his hearing. Entering a door to a small waiting area, someone whom he doesn’t recognize is sitting inside.

   Erect to attention, tension locks muscles when her vision is overtaken by a man of great size, the eyes found from his footwear to the shock of honey upon the tan features of a hardened brow. 

   It seems her chosen rest area is not unknown.

   “I am none whom you shall. I am a stranger to your lands. I am Freya of Burmecia.” 

“Greetings, Freya of Burmecia. I am Ira Gamagoori, leader of the Disciplinary Committee and one of four Deva’s, sworn protector of the Lady Satsuki.” Taking a moments pause, he raises an eyebrow as he leans slightly closer to her. “Might I ask you what lands you are from, and why I have come across you lounging in this small room?”

“Greetings Saito. I am Ira Gamagoori, head of the Disciplinary Committee and one of four Deva’s, sworn protector of the Lady Satsuki.” His brow furrows a bit as he continues to watch Saito.

“What do you remember it like?”

“Like… not built around one giant mountain-thing. What is that?“ He leaned out of Gamagoori’s shadow to his left and point with one arm at Honnouji Academy, towering in the distance. He stopped for a second before it clicked.

“You seem to be from elsewhere all together if you do not recognize this place.” Turning his head to look upon the Academy, he smiles slightly and puffs out his chest with pride. “That is the ever glorious Honnouji Academy, home of the Lady Satsuki herself, whom I am sworn to serve and protect with mind, body, and soul.”

“I’ll be sure to have you back in a timely manner before classes are released.” Gamagoori picks up the Kamui with a gently, his fingers wrapping around the sheath firmly to ensure he does not drop him.

“It’s always safe to ask before acting. I’d not want to have caused you discomfort by taking you without permission.” He moves his hand up and down a little bit, getting the weight behind Senketsu’s new form. “Well balanced. Nice disguise, my friend.”

He began his rounds of the floors, taking slow, long strides as he observed the surroundings. “So you are taking precautions to be hidden. Does someone hunt you, or are you taking in the festivities to come?”

“It’s a costume!” He declared cheerfully, sliding halfway out of his sheath. “I’m taking the form of one of my favourite characters - a talking sword from a show I like - and holding it for all of October as my Halloween costume.” Had the kamui a proper face in his current form, it would be grinning broadly and the tone of his voice reflected that.

“It’s definitely a costume alright. All of your life fibers and distinguishing features are hidden in this form.” Gamagoori smirks slightly before returning to his stern face, amused by the excitement the Kamui expresses over his transformation for the month.

“My name’s Saito.” He answered, looking completely uninterested.

Huge! He just stood there, looking straight up the man curiously.

“Greetings Saito. I am Ira Gamagoori, head of the Disciplinary Committee and one of four Deva’s, sworn protector of the Lady Satsuki.” His brow furrows a bit as he continues to watch Saito.
