I watched the Jared Leto expose. Just like everybody who has watched it I am disgusted, horrified and my heart breaks for his victims. Many victims. He needs to be held accountable and these people need to be heard and have some justice not that it will ever be enough.
Annabelle is being held far too accountable by some people but also not accountable enough by others.
Reviewing everything it is clear Annabelle was very good friends with him for a reasonably long amount of time and when this was going on. It seems it started many many years ago and has not stopped. Watching the expose it is clear that anyone that was associated with him from working or just friendship was aware of what was going on. Yet no one spoke up or stepped in. This includes Annabelle. While we cannot blame her for what he did we can certainly see that she must have been aware of at least some of what was going on. As many others were.
I have always tried to see the true context of things, the most realistic, logical and normally just normal view when others have called her alleged problematic behaviour out but this time the context is problematic. From all I’ve seen from the accounts, the expose, her posts on instagram and their appearances together I cannot believe she had no idea of some of his behaviour.
Due to how publicly she has posted about him with these many posts still up and stated he was her best friend etc I feel like it would be in her best interest to address this somehow. But I have doubts she will.
Again while I do not blame her for his actions or at this point believe she was involved I do believe she must have been aware of some things and for that she should be held accountable. Just like all the others in this situation.
I stand with the victims.
To add please don’t use what is someone’s worst moment, worst nightmare and extremely trauma to push hate. Think of these poor girls.
