This moment is taken from a modern au headcanon I have, but in any universe my Rook IS a daughter of Flemeth.
I don't care much for the canon plot and story in DATV, I pick the handful elements I like and turn them into a better story (IMHO): Planted by Flemeth at the Necropolis of Nevarra, Amalia grew up as a mysterious orphan and secret weapon to avenge Mythal for good.
I'm naturally shy with my headcanons, so if you want to know more (for example: how is Flemeth connected to the Necropolis? What role plays Lavellan in all this? Where does Hawke come in? Why does Rook know Surana so well? And what the hell does Emmrich make of his mother-in-law?) you can ask βΊοΈ

Sometimes I scroll through my tumblr dash and get surprised how seemingly every post is about that one character I love too.
