Unfortunately

Our tent was flooded and torn due to the winter.

so this was my first time getting on a plane and traveling far for an event. I had a lot of anxieties about packing a suitcase, and forgetting something, and the plane going into space by accident, but the travel was so easy, we only experienced a little delay but I didn't mind because I was with my partner and she's the best person to hang out with ever.

I felt at home in the dead mall in Texas, because I've spent so many hours in ours. Artists are always so friendly!! It's nice to go somewhere and have something in common with so many people.

It was thunderstorming on the first night, my girlfriend and I ran in the rain across empty parking lots and non walkable roads to an Applebee's. I've never been to an Applebee's! After that, the rain stopped and it was dark, so we walked across more parking lots and down muddy hills and ended up in a very busy theater (so weird because the mall was so empty!) to see backrooms.

I loved it, the empty mall and mugginess really elevated that experience LOL.

I think I heard cicadas and it made me feel very at home!

Got to meet so many people I really admire, and see some friends! In my mind this was a lot of rain, running in the dark, long hallways, pretty art, bandanas, and trading cards with people. On our last day, we walked in the mall with our suitcase and enjoyed the AC while we waited to go to the airport.

Blah, so grateful and learned lots!!!
