they are dating but like. only 2D is “in the relationship” if that makes sense??

like 2D is the one who suggests going on dates and having dinner together, Murdoc just kind of accepts it??

though dinner together is literally just warming up 2 helpings of gross leftover spaghetti in tupperware containers and then eating it on front of the tv

also they are literally the least romantic couple imaginable

no like seriously,, they hardly even kiss. in fact hugging is the most they do for PDA and they hardly even hug

2D loves giving hugs but Murdoc hates receiving them. 2D likes hugging Murdoc from behind to say hello

Murdoc also hates holding hands, especially in public. 2D will grab his hand at random just to piss him off

2D likes cuddling and spooning!! Murdoc only likes spooning when he is the big spoon. whenever he is the little spoon he gets petty, so after about 10 minutes of calm spooning he pulls the covers over them both and intentionally dutch ovens 2D (and does his dumb throaty laugh)

when that happens 2D almost always lets go of Murdoc and rolls over and tells Murdoc that was fuckin gross. Disgusting goblin man does not care, he rolls over and is the big spoon at last

if it wasnt clear before its clear now Murdoc is super yucky

he never flirts with 2D properly,, like if 2D is wearing sexy jeans Murdoc just makes gross slurping noises at him

the only time they ever do something even remotely romantic together is when they go for strolls in the park together

but even then they dont really talk to each other?? they just sit on the park bench together for a while until it gets dark. 2D usually brings his portable video games (PSP, Nintendo DS or GameBoy) and focuses on that the whole time

Murdoc doesnt care that much if 2D doesnt talk to him because holding a conversation with 2D gets awkward sometimes (ADHD and all,, trust me I KNOW)

2D doesnt eat meat but he will cook Murdoc scrambled eggs and sausages in the morning. even though Murdoc just only eats the sausages and puts a cigarette out on the eggs 2D does it to be nice

also 2D knows off by heart how Murdoc likes his coffee, and vice versa Murdoc knows exactly how 2D likes his tea

Murdoc has a hard time saying “I love you” to 2D with sincerity,,,, whenever 2D says “I love you” he replies with “me too” at the most?? also he never says it first bc hes actually a coward when it comes to affection

they dont have any genuine pet names for one another?? “love” is the go-to, but 2D also playfully calls Murdoc “old man” (and “sleepyhead” in the morning)

they both still laugh at childish humour together and its one of the reasons they spend time together

Murdoc has a sticker of 2D on one of his bass guitars and 2D thinks it is the sweetest thing ever

idk they are just dumb men who love each other but dont realize how much
