Instead, we are each in our corner of the world pretending this good bye didn’t kill parts of us we always held dear to our hearts, pretending we aren’t more broken and in pieces than ever before.

Nonetheless, I can say with strength that I miss you. I miss the sound of your voice, the look in your eyes when you get so focused on something, I miss feeling your fingers slowly blending with mine, I miss your kisses good night and tight hugs. I just miss you. Everything about you. The good and the bad quirks.

Today, even though each of us is fighting multiple battles alone, know that I will always stand with you, remember you and us with a smile on my face and most of all, I will always love you.
