JUNIPER AND SOPHIE POST A DANCE COVER TO MEMBER GYURI’S SOLO ‘ CLUELESS ’!

Mellow’s official youtube channel has been updated with a fun dance cover of Gyuri’s song ‘ Clueless ’, performed by her members Juniper and Sophie !

Just yesterday Mellow’s fancafé got shut down due to a massive amount of hate but that doesn’t stop the members from uploading videos to show off their strong bond and unwavering support for each other. Showing off their great chemistry and incredible rhythmic skills with a fun and quirky dance video, the American dance line leaves a dance cover to fellow member Gyuri’s song ’ Clueless ’ from her recetly finished solo comeback. The video leaves Marshmellows excited to see the girls back on stage again for their upcoming announced comeback !

With the recent changes within the group, Mellow has become the tak of the town. The group rose to #3 most searched on Naver after becoming a target of hate. On the 17th of October, their fancafé became a platform filled with hate after various users decided to spam forums and comment sections with excessive hate. 

A few weeks have passed since Mellow announced their new lineup, with former member June leaving the group and new member Rylee being introduced, Mellow has been going through a lot just this month alone. This has not been the first time the group went through a change of members, former members Yuuka and Casey have also left the group due to personal reasons.  Though Mellow has been doing well as their last comeback earned them their first with and their album rose in sales comeback to previous albums, the group has now become the target of hate yet again due to member June departing and a new member being announced. Many fans were outraged by the many changes and voiced their wishes for the group to simply stick to the lineup they have. 

Things seemed to be rather quiet since the announcement but recently their fancafe was attacked with countless of hate messages. Many users were spotted sending death threads to the members in the comment section and some utilized the forum option to send even more hate. The website temporarily shut down due to excessive hate and a representative announced to be looking into the matter by voicing they will be banning any user spreading such hate and that there will be legal actions taken against those sending such vile hate.

After making their return with their 3rd mini album colors on the 22nd of July, and achieving their first win with their title track ‘One, Two, Three’, the four girls have made their return with a repackaged version of ‘Colors’. Adding an additional three tracks of which ‘Day & Night’ will be promoted. The concept of the album takes the members’ individual assigned colors and adds a track to fit each color’s emotion. Adding a duo-tone (Sun & Rain) and the new color blue (No Control, which was picked to stand for the emotion and the feeling of  ‘Loneliness’) They add onto the previous colors with more emotion, closing off the album with their outro track ‘Colors’. Mellow one again show what they have in store!

KOEMI RELEASES MV FOR TITLE TRACK “BEAUTIFUL”

Following the release of Koemi’s comeback album “This Love,” the well anticipated MV for Beautiful stirred many emotions upon it’s release. The MV features several well known faces as actors and actresses, both from 2K and other companies, further helping carry the underlying message of the song.

In a V-Live Koemi had held to release the album earlier, she spoke of how she had personally wanted a lot of helping hands with this album, to create a special bond over it with several people. Specifically, she spoke of how she had completely produced the song “Beautiful” by herself, which is something she is still learning to do. She continued by saying a few other songs were produced all on her own as well.

Koemi explained she wanted her actors faces in the MV more than her own so others may focus on the theme of the song more. During her live, she explained the song, along with the whole album, is supposed to help carry positive messages of self-love. 

“In a world where we are too critical and depend too much on other people’s words, I want this song to be the message others may need that it doesn’t always have to be this way. You can love yourself and still be beautiful. You don’t have to listen to what people online or across the street say. The most important love is your own love.”

MELLOW’S JUNIPER AND SOPHIE ATTEND SPICED’S ANNUAL CHARITY CONCERT

The girlgroup SPICED held their third annual charity event on the 17th August 2017. Many celebrities visited and participated to the concert with either performances or speeches to spread awareness to Domestic Violence and Abusive Relationships. Mellow’s leader Sophie and the maknae of the group, Juniper were also part of the idols who came.

Mellow’s leader arrived at the concert in the company of her boyfriend Oh Sehun ( @sehunxbt ). The CEO in training and drummer from the band One Shot held a speech on the topic of Domestic Violence which was very well received and worded while his girlfriend, Sophie, stood on stage on this night. She performed a song in the ‘ Dazzling Red ‘ subunit with 2K Records labelmates Cerise and Siyeon from the rookie girlgroup ILUMIA, Areum ( @gvareum ) from the female duo Blush and SPICED’s leader GEMI ( @jemmio ). Mellow’s maknae Juniper ( @ljuhuis ) came to support and watch her leader’s performance and stayed till the end of the concert to support the event and its cause. The ticket and merchandising proceeds will be donated to The Spiced Foundation and go directly to victims of abusive relationships.

MELLOW SHED TEARS AND SHARE THOUGHTS  AFTER THEIR FIRST WIN ON MCOUNTDOWN

Mnet’s Mcountdown aired it’s latest episode with energetic and fun performances of your favorite artists. This week’s winner was Mellow who took their first win on the show with their comeback performance for ‘One, Two, Three’. The girls shared an emotional speech in which they thanked their fans, family and staff for the win they were able to get after their hardships of going through many lineup changes and a long hiatus.
