ℬ𝒶𝒹 ℛ𝑒𝓅𝓊𝓉𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃

“Such a charmer and sweet talker.. How’d I get so damn lucky with ya, Nix?” Chevy grinned, letting his thumbs slowly stroke over the other’s cheeks as his hands held either side of his face. Just feeling that little smile made him grin even more, pulling him as close as he could. He even pulled back to whisper a soft ‘Well, better get t’work then if you’re gonna turn me on like this’ into his ear, kissing his cheek soon after.

“I’m your mess.” He giggled with a huge grin. He honestly wasn’t expecting any of the compliments he got, but he was happy none the less. “...Damn you’re cheesy, and I was jokin’, but I can’t be mad or roll my eyes at you, now can I? C’mere..” He pulled him into another deep kiss with a chuckle, placing both hands on either side of his face. “Well, if y’ain’t careful, there’s gonna be a much  bigger problem on our hands.” He teased right back with a hum.

“I know I am.” Chevy grinned widely as he waited for the other to compliment him. Of course, he was just jokking, but then hearing him actually go through with it? It made his heart melt immediately. “You’re too damn sweet, Nixxy... How’d a guy like me ever get so lucky t’be married to a guy like you?” He whispered, as if there was a group of people in the house that shouldn’t know they were married. “What, you tryin’ t’ turn me on or somethin’?” He teased playfully with a chuckle before moving to kiss the other quickly.

“Ain’t I jus’ th’greatest? Compliment me more. I’m feeling down, my loyal servant.” He held one hand out playfully before laughing at the dumb joke he made. If anything, he would definitely rather be Nixon’s servant than anything... He couldn’t help but grin more when he saw the other’s smile  God, he was gorgeous. When the other deepened the kiss a little, he couldn’t help but groan. “Careful there...” He warned playfully.

Part of it was a little pain, and another part just...felt odd. He couldn’t explain it. Like, it didn’t properly hurt him too bad, but it was like a ghost pain. “Hey... Nah, I get it, Pax, don’t worry. I mean, I did it too as a damn kid, so I understand pretty dang well... Nix don’t really know ‘bout all of this, d’spite seein’ it all th’time. He doesn’t know what these are. Told ‘im they were jus’ scars from fightin’ all th’time, ain’t tell ‘im who I was fightin’.” He admitted with a slight snort, rubbing one hand over all the little bumps. “Only thing I blame myself for is not doin’ somethin’ sooner. I could’ve probably helped if I’d had a feelin’ sooner.” He watched his son sit up and push himself up off the ground, disappearing into his room. He’d seen that folder before, but never touched it. He’d had a feeling there was something in there he didn’t want to see, but he was glad when the other just pulled out little tattoo ideas. “Really now? Maybe! Nix has a few, so I don’t reckon he’d be opposed to it. Mind if I take a look?” He asked softly, hand reaching out to the folder. “He really is... Jus’ ‘bout as bad as Rex, if not worse.”

Things just naturally fell into place between Nixon and Chevy. He’d vowed he’d never get married because he didn’t want whoever he married, to get punched or hit or anything if they touched him. But then an angel of a man named Nixon Anderson came around, changed him for the better, and he couldn’t be happier. Now he had a husband, a nice home, and a son with the man. Chevy rolled his eyes and grinned at the tease. “What can I say? I know when y’wan’t somethin’ ‘cause ya start kissin’ up and down my damn neck.” He joked playfully before letting his fingers run through the man’s hair slowly. “You’re even more perfect, Nixon.” Chevy whispered out as he moved to place the hand that was stroking the man’s hair, to the back of Nixon’s head. “You’re.. so... Perfect..” He punctuated every word with a kiss before smiling.

Chevy had just been finished with work, gloves covered in gross bodily substances that people usually didn’t want to touch when he heard the girl speak. Curse being a crime scene cleaner... “I uh... Yeah, sure. What do ya need?” He asked, rolling up a sleeve before pulling off the long glove from the tips of his fingers. “Y’ain’t gotta be nervous ya know.. I ain’t gonna touch ya or harm ya.”

Honestly, Chevy felt like the lucky one. Never had he thought he’d ever marry someone, let alone have anyone touch him that didn’t make him freak out or get scared. Sure, m aybe he was scared at first, but with time, Chevy mellowed out, and even let their son hug him or touch his arm if he needed anything withough panicking. Letting the other rest up against him, he let out a slight little grunt at the kiss to his neck. “Careful.” He teased. “I try my best, now don’t I?” Chevy snorted, gently kissing the other back slow, yet deeply, wanting the other to feel every ounce of love and appreciation he had for the other.

In a sense, Chevy was so proud of his husband for showing emotions, even if it was just a little at a time. They’d grown from rarely ever crying or being angry or anything, to full blown crying and then cuddling sessions. Whether people saw that as good or bad for the two, Chevy always saw it as an improvement. Besides, he’d rather have an emotional husband than a completely closed off one. He could feel the love every time his husband spoke to him like this, and the trust that came with it? Over the roof. “Oh hush, I love you even more. But... Yeah, me too t’be honest.” His eyes scanned over the man’s face for a second. “...’Least you’re a pretty crier.” He teased, having to make at least a tiny little joke about it.

“I know I ain’t.” He teased playfully with a light smile. He just wanted Nixon to be the best man he could be, and not even for himself. Every thought that went through Chevy’s mind included Nixon. It was his main focus in life, if he was being honest. Holding him even closer when he heard that choked tone, he nuzzled his face into his husband’s shoulder even more, trying to swallow past that lump in his throat. Never had he seen him cry, and now? “We both saved each other, and I’m so damn glad we did.” He whispered. “I promise, no matter what, I ain’t givin’ up on ya. Never in a hundred years.. Thousand... Million. Not even in our next life.” He pulled away just a little to place his hands on either side of his husband’s face. “I love you.”

“Want us to do a mock weddng? ‘Cause I’m super down! If not, you’ll be the first to get an inviite to us renewing vows. Even probably be the best man.”

“Honestly? It’s wonderful! I never thought in a hundred years I’d meet my soulmate and marry ‘em, until I met Nix. It was like fuckin’ love at first sight if I’m bein’ real with ya.”

“God no! It may be frustrating sometimes and emotionally draining, though what kid isn’t, right? But I will never in a million, trillion years regret fostering that kid. I love him like he was my own damn flesh and blood!”

Chevy let his fingers slowly glide over his scars, wincing just a little when he touched one that didn’t heal too properly. “My brother has more of ‘em. Our parents.. weren’t th’best in th’world. They’d see us doin’ that an’ just walk away.” He remembered when he first met Pax, that he vowed to never let that boy have to feel the way he felt when his parents just walked off without a single care that their sons were hurting deep inside. “Really? You’ll have t’tell me some of th’ ideas. Maybe I can set up your first appointment? Maybe get a matchin’ one?” He’d always wanted to get a matching one with Pax. The two had been through a lot, which bonded them more than he ever thought possible. “He really is needy... Cute little guy though, can’t be mad at him. ‘Specially when he yells himself to sleep on top of Rex. R’mind me t’show ya that photo at some point.”

“That’s our job. T’make sure you’re alright and taken care of, even if sometimes it’s a bit extra work. Y’know, I used t’be like you when I was your age. Still can get that way at times. Don’t reckon I told Nixon ever, but..” Pulling up one sleeve, he showed a tattoo on his wrist. “Run your fingers over it There’s like.. Maybe twenty or more there.” He admitted. Of course, he was a little embarrassed, which was why he got a tattoo over it, but it was him. It was a part of him. “I’m proud of ya for tellin’ us, though. Really, I am. It shows you’re improvin’, gettin’ better.” He smiled, watching Rex pounce on Pax. “Speakin’ of Jack, I never knew that kitten had such a loud scream.” He snorted. He remembered waking up almost every night to Jack screaming in the middle of the night because he missed Pax.
