I’m not quite sure what it is? I think maybe because I’m letting them get away with it, or something. A lot of people don’t face consequences for behaving in abusive ways, and they certainly haven’t in my life. So I think there’s some residual anger about people not being held accountable, and here is another person who won’t be held accountable.

I don’t think I should feel that way, because you’re absolutely right that my health comes first. I don’t think it is a productive or perhaps healthy way to feel in such situations. I think I have some stuff to work through in that area, and that’s just where I am with it now. Also, thank you :)

Initially I didn’t want to do the whole blocking thing, because it felt like I was letting them win. They did all this to get that result, presumably. And I don’t like giving assholes the satisfaction of feeling like they’ve won, even though it’s a matter of health, and not ‘winning’ at all.

But now it’s kind of like I get to sit in relative comfort and just watch the show? Like, there’s still a chance they’ll find a way/they already have found a way to ~check up~ on me. But right now it’s just like watching them flail around or something. It’s kind of odd and strangely satisfying? I think it makes me feel like I did the right thing, because if they're so desperate to harass me that they will repeatedly check a 'not found' page ~just in case~, it's pretty clear that the situation could have gotten a lot worse.

Oh, of course. A few young liberals have participated in this situation, to varying degrees. I don't think I've seen a lot of cyber bullying, but I have definitely seen bullying from others. Especially around uni. In character, yes.

Sometimes I wonder about the mentality of people who abuse and harass and bully.

Do they actually think things like 'I am going to repeatedly reblog this person. And visit their blog incessantly. And also send their url to other blogs known to harass people, so they can harass them as well. I know I've been told to fuck off, but as if I'm going to respect their boundaries and behave like a decent human being. This is THE INTERNET. There are no boundaries here! At least not for other people, anyway. I don't need to RESPECT people. Respect is for weaklings and shit. I am a big strong tough manly man, who through the power of internet ~anonymity~ can be a big strong abuser! Without any substantial repercussions, if any repercussions at all. Let's be honest, I will be fine as an abuser, but those I harass will be told their actions in defending themselves are unacceptable. I can't lose! Ha! I am so tough. Not a coward at all...
