Ah, she could tell Alibaba didn’t approve at all. What to do about this? “Are you…really mad Alibaba?”

"Of course I'm mad. I know that it's nice to have a brother like him that really cares for you and wouldn't hurt you, but that's a whole other matter. You can't just say those kinds of things to your own sister and propose, it's not right!"

"Ok so- Last night, Kouen Nii-sama decided we should go for a walk last night through the gardens. And we were together, having a nice time and and, suddenly, he decides to propose to me! I-I mean, I know we’re half siblings and all but- B-b-b-but-!" Suddenly, after uttering this, she worried if her dear friend would judge her for that. They were siblings to get married! "I…You don’t…think I’m weird or anything do you?" Oh no, this was it, he was going to leave her to her misery for that wasn’t he?!

The hell? Seriously, Kouen's the one that proposed to her? That was just sick and wrong. It didn't matter if they were just half siblings. They were related by blood to some respect, so why get married?!It made no sense! He wanted to go over and yell at Kouen, but Kougyoku needed him right now, and he wasn't going to leave her.

"Seriously?! Well I uh…" Alibaba wanted to get this over with, so he just went and kissed Kouen. "There…"

"What?! But-…you know what, I’m not even surprised anymore…"

"Alibaba I don’t know the first thing of being a good wife! And and- this wedding and- I don’t even know why he proposed! I didn’t know he even liked me and and-!" The girl’s arms flailed a bit before she latched to him. That is, before she noticed the tub of ice cream. "Oh thank goodness!" She took it from him, then proceeded to drag him inside and into the kitchen. 

"Okay, first off. Who's the guy? You didn't tell me that at all, and I need to know if I'm going to help you out. And secondly, any guy with the right mind would propose to you, so don't doubt yourself on that. Okay, enough of that, tell me what really happened."

"Thank you for asking," Scheherazade offered the boy a polite smile. "We are all doing well. Things are calm for now, so the days have been spent training and preparing for what may lie ahead. If I have learned anything in my long life, it is that preparation is essential. While it may seem peaceful today, we could be thrust into a war again tomorrow."

"I made...something close to progress. I have an option to get it back, but...the methods I have the option of taking aren't really sitting well with me at all.."

No she wouldn’t. How does someone breathe again? In and out right? Right, pull in air…let it out, in…out…Ok, she could survive until Alibaba came here right?

Although as she tried, she found herself pacing the length of her room in her family’s manor. Ah, the Ren family was very wealthy from their militaristic ties to the country, not to mention their political leaders. 

Sadly, none of this wealth helped the girl right now. She was out of her miracle food, and everyone was gone or busy! All she had was Alibaba at the moment and he needed to get here quick before she had a heart attack. 

Alibaba rushed out of his house and headed straight for a super market. He was pretty sure he knew what her favorite flavor was, so that wasn't hard. And no one was there, thankfully, so he was in and out in a minute, and made a beeline for Kougyoku's place. This was a pretty big bombshell she threw on him, but it's not like she had it any easier. She was clearly freaking out, and he had to help her calm down.

When he made it to Kougyoku's place, he knocked on the door. Hoping she was in a right enough mindset to open.

"You *hiccup* heard me, Alibaba"
