“Hanging Gardens” at Athen B. Gallery.

Artwork by Andrea Heimer for the group exhibition “Hanging Gardens” which opens Saturday, March 12th, 2016 at Athen B. Gallery in Oakland, California.  The show, which explores humankind’s need to often escape reality, will also include work by Kate Klingbeil, Michael Olivo, and Woodrow White.

“Duo” at Thinkspace Gallery.

Currently showing at Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City, California is the group exhibition presented in collaboration with Urban Nation is “Duo.”

“Duo” features brand new work by artistic duos such as (above): Telmo Miel, Nevercrew, Jana & JS, Snik and Yok & Sheryo plus Cyrcle and Best/Ever who are recognized as some of the world’s leading muralist teams and clearly insanely talented artists.

Linnea Strid’s “Love Me When I’m Gone” at Thinkspace Gallery.

Currently on view at Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City, California in their project room is Linnea Strid’s gorgeous looking solo show “Love Me When I’m Gone.”  The hyper-realist artist uses oil paints and colored pencils to create her stunning work which explores water’s remarkable abilities to transform both shape and light.  The title of the show, “Love Me When I’m Gone” is referring to artists having their notoriety increased after their deaths and the sacrifice that comes with an artist dedicating their lives to their craft.

Sean Norvet’s New Works at CG2 Gallery.

Brand new paintings by artist Sean Norvet (Previously on Supersonic) that are currently on view at CG2 Gallery in Nashville, Tennessee.  Norvet describes his work as “sometimes explosive, sometimes still, and often mashes up elegant photo-realism with two-dimensional cartoon buffoonery.”

POW! WOW! HAWAII! 2016 Day Two.

This week, February 6th through the 14th, artists from around the world are currently participating in POW! WOW! HAWAII! 2016.  The week-long street art festival features gallery shows, lecture series, schools for art and music, mural projects, concerts and live art installations.  The event also focuses on using art to bring communities together and the feeling of friendship, family and art is very much alive here in Kaka’ako, Honolulu.

Day two of painting saw the NTL Cru wall begin to take shape as Tatiana Suarez began her part,  Andrew Hem and Ekundayo made a great deal of progress on their beautiful piece,  Kaiili Kaulukukui worked on his one of a kind Oceanic mural, Audrey Kawasaki’s mural took shape on her curved wall and Defer slowly transformed his wall into something a living creature.
