Earth and Saria; The third and fourth planets from the sun, each with intelligent life and sprawling civilizations. The Sarians are a diverse species resembling anthropomorphic canids and felines of Earth, and the presence of their society has led to massive change on Earth. A rogue military and science installation had been creating an artificial beast named Tirus, but when they fail to account for his emotional capacity, he makes a plan to escape. When he leads a team of adventurers to break out of their slave labor, making their home aboard a rustic cargo ship, it’s up to them to choose their fates. Becoming highly-specialized mercenaries, they take to the stars, fighting hostile entities, taking hits off the bounty lists, and exploring strange new worlds.
