Welcome to version two! These are supplementary images to our Iron Lung Wiki project! They will be accompanied by many, many, many paragraphs of detail work. Simon's character page is going to unironically take my entire team weeks. It's a hefty project.

Anyway, cosplayers and artists rejoice! I've found those damn ice cleats (I'm pretty sure these are the exact ones. I sat there and counted and memorized the spike pattern on the bottom whilst screaming at Google Lens). Wal-Mart strikes again! I also corrected some errors, added details and standardized the formatting a bit better! Enjoy. :)

I’m watching Frankenstein 2025 and I do think the Creature is a great way to see Simon.

Like he was created and molded into a monster, but he is naturally gentle and curious. He has anger that drives him to kill because he was TAUGHT violence. But those that give him understanding, he is soft spoken and holds hope for something better.

They both were remade by some “god” that only cursed them to live in a body that was torn to shreds and wrongly put back together. Denied personhood, just wanting to live, suffering from those that shifted the narrative and pointed the finger.

My god. They even look the same.

I have the black box data. All of it.

After sifting through hundreds of photos... I have realized that every time Simon takes a photo in the SM-13, he's pulling up a frame to a stop motion animation.

And it can be played back as video.

So, I took each black box photo and compiled them together. You can now watch Simon's entire journey from the SM-13's camera like found footage.

You can also gain access to Simon's amazing photography portfolio from my master reference project, as well as the video for yourself.

Please, have a watch. It's terrifying. I feel like a C.O.I. lab tech delving into something I really shouldn't, and it's a blast!

On the contrary, Simon is akin to Felicette. “The data from the mission was of good quality, and Felicette survived the flight but was euthanized two months later for examination of her brain.” They did not love Simon. They chose to call him something else to not make attachments. They believed science was worth more than a few lives. They trained and sent multiple cats. Multiple convicts. They could have got him back fine, but they wanted him dead.

I love a good tense dynamic between characters, but the way some people write Rocky and Simon…grates on my nerves a liiiiiitle bit. Like, Rocky either calling Simon stupid, an animal, or genuinely fucking calling him his pet??? INSANITY. Rocky is not mean. He’s blunt. But he’s never mean. He makes comments based on his observations. He’s also quite sympathetic. I can understand an initial dynamic where Rocky would not trust Simon because he’s reactionary, but I genuinely think he’d like him

Like, imagine. Rocky and Simon both know little to nothing about Earth. The two of them would spend time in the don’t go crazy room while Grace is doing…idk, science things, and they’d just watch video after video about Earth, w Simon describing some of the scenes to Rocky

Also, I know it’s a headcanon, but mechanic Simon!!! He would explain the types of machinery he worked on while on Eden and Rocky will make the parts based on Simon’s descriptions so they could build tiny models. Rocky makes Simon do puppet shows and Simon’s so amused by the request. “Simon do better puppet show than Grace.”
