“Wow! A real-life superhero!” the chipmunk exclaimed.

That was all great, but Timon was still reeling from the fact that humans record the struggle of meerkat lives for their entertainment.

It was objectifying. 

“How long have humans been filming meerkats without them knowing?” Alvin clearly knew more about the dominate species on planet earth than Timon did.

“Hm...let me think.”

     oh no, he was supposed to stay hidden. if word of this got out he’d be in deep trouble. 

          “this is just a dreeeeeeam.” nailed it. 

“A dream?! So you mean I can do anything I want in here without it affecting real life?! Awesome!” the chipmunk exclaimed, taking out his phone and dialing up Brittany.

“B-Brittany? Is that you? It’s me, Alvin! Just wanted to let you know that I’ve had a HUGE crush on you since the second grade. But that doesn’t matter, since this is all just a dream! Ha!” he said, quickly hanging up the phone and glancing back at Michelangelo.

“The lives of meerkats?” Timon didn’t care about the concept of privacy just as much as any wild animal who doesn’t wear pants, BUT THIS IS GOING TOO FAR!

“Kid, I’VE LIVED THE TRADITIONAL LIFE OF A MEERKAT. It’s not pretty. I had to get out of it.” Timon ranted, knowing Alvin would have an idea of what a living hell meerkat survival and that life was because of… *sigh* … TV. “It wasn’t for me.”

“I know what you mean, brother. I had to get out of the traditional life of a chipmunk. Having to collect all those nuts, only for that same loser sparrow to keep stealing them all the time. Really gets annoying after a while. I MUCH prefer my current life. Being a world-famous superstar and performing in concerts is WAY better than struggling for survival in some lame forest.”

“Meerkat what now?” Last chance to preserve Timon’s innocence that his species has been broadcasted on Television for human entertainment.

“Meerkat Manor! It’s a show on Animal Planet. It’s like a documentary - it’s all about the lives of meerkats!”

Lincoln was putting away his notebooks in his locker, when he felt a slight tug on his shirt. He closed his locker and turned to see that it was Alvin. He knew that he was in his Math Class and it was still kind of strange to have a talking chipmunk going to your school.

When Alvin had asked him about the math homework, Lincoln nodded his head and opened up his backpack,

 “It’s Lincoln and yeah of course! But why?”

“W-Why?” Alvin asked, thinking back to the previous night. He had been playing video games, when Dave entered. 

“Alvin, did you do your homework?” he asked.

“Huh? Homework? Oh, yeah, sure, I did that,” the chipmunk responded, continuing to play the games. 

Snapping out of the flashback, he looked back at Lincoln.

“Well, uh, you-you know, I just happened - I was very busy last night. You know, I-I spent the whole night performing voluntary community service. You know, picking up trash, rescuing cats from trees, that kind of stuff. You know, because I’m a- I’m just a very selfless guy. I put the needs of others before my own.

Okay, so only making four posts on here and then disappearing for three months was totally not part of the plan.

Alvin had been wandering throughout the halls, looking desperately for someone he knew. That was when he spotted Lincoln - and a grin grew on his face. Okay, so he didn’t exactly know Lincoln, but he had seen the guy around before! How did that old saying go again? Choosers can’t be beggars? Something like that!

“Excuse me?”

“I’d advise you get your eyes checked buddy, because I am no hamster.”
