A few things
Hu Tao has a huge respect for the dead and for those actually morning their loved ones, so she will of course treat them with respect and will not bring up things like ‘buy one get second half price’. No, those topics are saved only for the living that are healthy and do not have to burry their loved ones (or themselves) anytime soon!
She is not scared of death and tries to show that unique way of seeing things through her jokes and puns. They, again, are not aimed at those with a real reason to go to the parlor.
To avoid panic, she keeps the ghost stories and problems as just stories, making her best to make those that are being haunted to think it was just their imagination going wild.
She can see all sorts of spirits and ghosts, that is something that runs in her family.
Children get very especial treatment from her since they barely had time to live before their flames were extinguised.
Only members of her family can safely navigate the Gate between the dead and the living without getting lost.
Wheather her little ghost friend was human or animal in it’s previous life, Hu Tao will never reveal, telling a different story to whoever actually sees it. All they need to know is that is a wandering spirit that likes to keep her company and only shows up when there is no one else around or when it really wants to play with a living being. It accepts being called Ghost, no other name.
