I usually try to keep my posts here to my visual art. I was assaulted twice by an ex partner who was living with me last month, the second time involved their arrest. My friend set up a gofundme after the incident but these injuries are causing me daily pain now and impacting my ability to work significantly more than I'd anticipated.

As a dancer, I do not have worker or employee status, so I am not eligible for sick pay. I am able to create maybe once a week, which is barely enough to feed myself currently. I am terrified.

The case has not yet gone to trial and I'm dreading the future, but I'm trying to remain as hopeful as I can.
