I, Naki of @valkyrthra, declare a nið, challenge those who have been picking ᚾᛁᚦ apart my friends, family & community here on tumblr. A nið, in old Norse / Viking culture, was a declaration of a Flyting Senna. Let's see how good your knowledge is to pick a part people's knowledge of the Sagas, stories, lore & mythos fairs again me, since you seem so proud of your knowledge of the Norse Mythologies that you feel the need to come on to other's blogs & nitpick minor details. Details that you corrected that didn't needed correcting, factually, regardless of IF the muse was altered for someone's own universe that you have ZERO say in. You in the cases that I am aware of, you have been factually WRONG.

-Flyting for those who do not know. Flyting or fliting (Classical Gaelic: immarbág, Irish: iomarbháigh, lit. "counter-boasting") is a contest consisting of the exchange of insults between two parties, often conducted in verse. (Wiki) Or in other words a battle of wits & insults using poems. In other words, & this is NOT my words but still describes it pretty well, its a Viking Rap battle.

Okay by the rules flyting, I have declared a challenge, now to issue ᚠᛚᛁᛏᛁᛜ the terms. The rules of the dual are

That it has to be poetry done in HISTORICAL Viking metrical principles, but in English.

It has to rhyme at least every other half line.

Insults to each other are accepted & in the true spirit of flyting is encouraged.

You can keep your anon status, my anons will be off, but you will be considered dishonorable by Viking cultural rules. If you chose to stay on anons then I will be posting the responses. You may do the same.

Hearing that there had been positive reviews of his existence from anyone within the X-Mansion HAD INDEED helped heal a few wounds and feelings of inadequacy.

As a GENERAL RULE, Wade had learned in his life to be grateful to have people that would do as much as TOLERATE him for more than a few minutes at a time. Things like FONDNESS AND FRIENDSHIP were a pretty rare occurrence. It was oftentimes why his first impression that he gave was often his MOST INSUFFERABLE one. Not DISHONEST, mind you, just OVERLY GENUINE.

The way he saw it, if people couldn't handle him at his WORST...then they should probably turn tail and RUN LIKE HELL, because Wade didn't get much more tolerable with time.

But there were a handful of people that were glad he existed, and that was more than enough.

"Wait...you CAN'T GO THERE?" Wade laughed. "Man, you're preachin' to the choir there, I can't tell you how many times I've been escorted off the premises of a taco joint. It's why I've switched to EXCLUSIVELY TACO TRUCKS." He moved to follow Ahsoka towards the portal that would bring them back into the realest world that Wade knew.

"So, why can't you hit your spot?" he asked curiously as they walked. "My banishments have usually been because I've bought out most of their ingredients during the lunch rush, and...well, bathroom incidents. The incident being me in the stall for nearly six hours on one fateful Taco Tuesday."

Never really having an issue having or keeping friends, but also never really getting a chance to make many, Ahsoka just kind of went with the flow when it came to people. The general rule was that if they weren't trying to kill her then she could exist around them even IF they were problematic. If they became too much of an issue, trying to verbally or emotionally attack Ahsoka, put her down in anyway, degrade her, or otherwise impede her from doing good, then she would just move on from that person for the moment. Ahsoka didn't hold any grudges, or hold onto any hurt that people caused her, and they did hurt her in various ways, figuring that people have bad days while others just needed time to grow. Loving to help people with that growth helped keep Ahsoka around people even when they were shitty, pending that they were willing and receptive to Ahsoka helping with their growth. Wade was NOT shitty, annoying YES, definitely in need of healing and growth Making it so Ahsoka was curious of where this could lead, whether Wade could be a HERO. Or at PEACE.

'CAN'T GO THERE?', Can't go where? A brief befuddled expression came across Ahsoka's face. WHAT was Wade talking about. The expression was short lived, absorbed by a smirk, then a smile and into a small amount of laughter, almost a chuckle along with Wade's own laughter. Yeah, he definitely did NOT understand what Ahsoka was saying but that was alright. "I mean not EXACTLY what I was talking about but yeah...." Ahsoka chuckled out her correction of the misunderstanding. Her expression changing to a blank one as she was confused and trying to figure something out, that didn't quite add up, to Ahsoka. "Wait...." Her expression still one of that kind of confusion that leaves you in a [404: E R R O R: File not found] state of mind. "You've been kicked out of a taco place? Please tell me it was at least high end and they had high standards or something." Her tone starting in one of a non-malicious skepticism, a soft chuckle hiding within her question. Ahsoka continued as though she was talking to a long time best friend, and they were telling her a ridiculous story that they were both laughing at. "Then again, are there even high end taco restaurants? I've only ever had tacos while in Mexico...." Looking up in contemplation as she passively voiced her musings on the subject. "Either way, I've never had taco truck, ..... well ANYTHING." Ahsoka and Wade followed the transparent glowing path to a very large triangular object, standing upright with its point to what would be the sky or ceiling, with some very intrigue designs around a circle that dropped below the path so that the path perfectly lined up with the inner base-line of the circle creating a gate. This gate seemed to be inactive, its glow, a dull white, as though someone turned down a dimmer switch for its glow, and you could see the paths behind it, creating a web within the empty void of space that seemed to go on forever. Wade's question hit Ahsoka, in the feels, and it hit hard. She tried to not let her expression reflect her emotions. Ahsoka hadn't seen Marilyn in so long, she missed her. Loved(s) her. Wait. Did Wade just say he was kicked out for buying the restaurant out? What a peculiar reason to be banned from a place. SIX HOURS!?!? "That was a long time ago..... I can't go for someone's protection.....Wait..... did you say SIX HOURS?!?" Ahsoka's brain could not compute the idea of eating anything for 6 hours. "Uh..... SOOOooo... where would you like to go?" Trying to reset her brain and move on with the day, those tacos sounded good and her stomach was grumbling at her, Ahsoka asked Wade their destination while raising the arm that had her I.T.D., glancing at the screen while trying to still look at Wade, her other hand poised, hovering above the device and waiting to hit the keys to activate the gate when Wade would tell her their destinations.

Wade could acknowledge that Ahsoka was correct about his appearance technically being more AVERAGE FOR A HUMAN than the look that she was sporting naturally. That wasn't really up for debate, though. The Merc was PANSEXUAL, so regardless of how much someone met the conventionality of beauty standards, ANY CONSENTING ADULT ENTITY could be considered to be FINE AS HELL in his book.

No, he had been more so referring to the fact that his fact looked like day-old pepperoni flatbread, while Ahsoka's skin tone was like WARM AND GORGEOUS TERRACOTTA.

He wasn't given the opportunity to argue that point though, as Ahsoka had opted to tell him just what the X-PEOPLE had to say about him. When she begun, he admittedly had felt a sense of nervousness, but he folded his arms over his chest to maintain any semblance of nonchalance about it.

That proved to be DIFFICULT as he was given a powerful emotional WHIPLASH by the assessment. It was probably for the best that she broke up the complaints with the compliments, anyone that had ever worked in HR could agree with that, but that didn't make it any less stressful for HIM.

As it turned out, the GRAND FINALE was worth the wait, and his arms fell away from him as his expression softened and a smile even tugged at his lips.

"Oh...well, y'know how SAPPY those guys can be," he sniffed somewhat, clearing his throat. "Alright, well...since you know of me and you DON'T hate me, how about we get back to our dimension and order some 3am tacos? You can explain this place with the added benefit of me not feelin' queasy every time I look around too quick."

Appearances meant nothing to Ahsoka, as stated before, Wade's face was no exception. Ahsoka didn't really care about things like sexuality, she didn't really think of it much, and that's not to say that she didn't get an itch from time to time. By the definition of the 20 and 30 year-olds, Ahsoka was DEMISEXUAL, having zero interest in a person if there was not a DEEP connection there. Ahsoka was attracted to people's minds, and their personalities more than any flesh that may adorn the individual. It's why she passively and yet firmly put to rest Wade's degradation of himself. It was more about not wanting himself down on himself than anything to actually do with either of their appearances. So Ahsoka moved onto answering Wade's question and it appeared to help him heal some old wounds. Interesting. "Yeah. They're definitely pretty SAPPY. That's a word to describe THOSE GUYS." A chuckle escaping from the midst of her nostalgic agreement with Wade's thoughts on the X-men. Nodding along as she listened to Wade's suggestion and reasoning for his suggestion, Ahsoka smirked. TACOs. Now that brought back memories. Bacalar, Mexico. The thoughts causing her smirk to turn into a warm smile at the memories, and who they were of. One day they would see each other again, until then this path in front of her seemed amusing, at the very least. Her attention returning to the present, Ahsoka looked at Wade and smiled a warm, friendly, inviting smile. "Sounds good. Ya know 'ny good places? I only know one place and we can't go there." Ahsoka began walking slowly as she continued to look at Wade in the eyes, nodding her head sideways to indicate that she wanted him to follow her.

Wade was A WILDCARD, but being impulsive didn't make him an outright MORON, despite popular opinion. As unserious as he was about having learned about it, he was still aware of his place within the multiverse. He knew that he was ultimately someone else's entertainment. When he hadn't ever really stopped to consider though was that he could actually have CROSS-OVERS with some of his favorite characters in media.

Not this time, of course. This woman had made it more than clear that she WASN'T from a STAR WAR OF ANY KIND.

"Well, CONGRATS on being a doppelganger of a total badass," he spoke sincerely with a few nods. "And also for having a mutation that makes you look really cool, instead of like," he gestured to his own face, "y'know, THIS."

The Merc placed his hands upon his hips. "I'm afraid to ask you what the residents of the NEVERLAND MANSION have said about me, but I'm assuming it can't be too bad if you haven't tried to take any of my appendages off."

Deep down, underneath all of that training that she had acquired at Kamar Taj during her childhood, Ahsoka was also a wildcard. She had a wit, she could be reckless at times, it got her in trouble with the monks more often than not. Ahsoka HAD to learn discipline. So that she could control her emotions, and ultimately, so that Ahsoka could control her powers. Which she was thankful for. Wade was every bit irritating as the X-folk had told her. Ahsoka sighed at Wade's comment about her being a doppelganger. "Not a doppelganger of a BADASS, Sweet-cheeks." She couldn't help but smirk as she playfully flirted, with the Merc with the Mouth, while correcting his incorrect assessment of WHO Ahsoka was. As irritated as she was by Wade, she could sense his heart and knew that he had a good soul. Even at the cost of how annoyingly immature his irritating antics were, it mattered more who Wade Wilson was deep down. She understood, that humor and sarcasm was Wade's way of coping with EVERYTHING. Life, trauma, mercenary work, and so on. Everything. She understood because Ahsoka was the exact same way. Just with discipline trained into her.

Wade's self-depreciating humor was where he and Ahsoka differed. Confident, and sure of herself, within her headstrong thoughts and processes, even with her very visual mutation Ahsoka didn't think of herself as grotesque, strange or ugly. Not that she thought much of appearances, hers or others. Needless to say that Ahsoka didn't quite understand Wade's degradation of his own looks. "Well FIRST OFF, I AM her, I just am not the her from THAT universe, but I'm pretty sure ya know that. SECONDLY , IF you're talking about how ya look, verses how I look. I'm not much ov'a judge on this but you're far more passible by 'SOCIETAL STANDARDS' than I am." Stated more matter-of-factly than harshly or with any kind of malice or snark in her tone. Ahsoka just had to clear those things up first, before moving on to Wade's question about what the X-men said about him. "Okay....Now that THAT is taken care of. So yeah they just said you are annoying, that you aren't bad, but you get in the way and sometimes disrupt from their cause BUT that sometimes you can be helpful." Looking upward, thinking and recalling the memories of the many, many, many times that the X-men would talk about Wade. Her tone steady, and sure, with a chuckle gracing her voice ever so slightly, as she laughed at the memories, at what they would say. A slight smile on her lips as Ahsoka softly looked at Wade. "And they said you had a good HEART." A fondness and kindness in her voice, as she remembered this being the overall statement that Ahsoka had gotten from the X-men, especially from Colossus, Kurt and to some extent Logan. It warmed Ahsoka, those memories. Maybe Wade is worth getting to know. This is where Ahsoka's wildcard nature would surface from deep within, ushering her to be impulsive and connect with this very strange, irritating, immature individual, with a good heart, that is standing, in a place that he should be able to be in, right in front of Ahsoka in the World Between Worlds.
