Fuck Yeah, Robert Knepper!

This is so stupid! Just delete the blog.

Well, maybe that is a good thing. There’s too much hate going around in this world anyway. You sound like you could be a caring person. Perhaps you could extend your love and support to the victims and any other sexual assault victims that may need it. You may have a friend that needs your attention. The victims of Robert’s assaults may appreciate you reaching out in support and saying that you believe them. They matter, and it’s pretty clear that Robert isn’t really deserving of your china plate trust anymore, isn’t it? 

That’s not to say that your feelings are not valid. It’s totally okay to take some time to be sad. That’s all right. We just think it’s important to take a minute to realize that the ones who were hurt the most are his victims, not his fans. 

We get why you feel that way though. None of this is about us at all, but we are also sad for the “loss” of a person who we thought was a lot of fun to be fans of… so, we get it. We understand the attachment. We liked him for so long that we felt like we “knew” him – but we also like to think that we have the objectiveness to step back and acknowledge that we don’t really know him, it only felt like we did. We are answering your ask a little bit late, and you probably sent it in before we put out our final statement here. You can read it if you need to get a better sense of our outrage at him. 

As you may have seen already, this blog has been bought out by @kiefergonnakief - we will continue our posting there. (We think it’s slightly in poor taste to “promote” a blog in such a serious post, but, our point is: we – we who were such fans – cannot in good conscience continue to post to a Robert Knepper fan blog, and want to announce that the new one will be run by the same personnel. Anyway, Kiefer electrocuted Robert in his music video so maybe you wanna follow the new one. Up to you.) This blog will be closing shop shortly. But before we do, we wanted to do a little housekeeping and put out a final word about Robert Knepper (at least, unless something truly definitive emerges later).

This post was made to say “he’s dead to us… Robert who? Who even IS Robert? Isn’t this a blog about Kiefer Sutherland?” It was not a dismissal of the accusations or a refusal to acknowledge the victims. Just us trying to say saying “he’s dead to us.” 

We just wanted to take a moment now to make a serious post about the whole thing because these are real victims. These are real people. Sincerely, we are completely heartbroken for the victims and we have nothing but support and sympathy for them. We encourage you to do the same. These are the people in need of your support. Not Robert. The victims are the ones who need your support. If you aren’t yet aware of what they had to say, read about it here. It’s ugly but if you are a fan of Robert Knepper… you should know. It was hard for us to read. We felt like there was a pit in our stomach… except we were like cows with multiple stomachs. 

We are so angry on their behalf that Robert is continuing to claim it’s all false. We just don’t think that it’s possible that these stories are outright lies – because even if they’re not 100% true, there has to be something there. It is like he isn’t allowing them to move on or find some semblance of peace by acknowledging what he did. That’s the worst part – well, no, the actual assaults are the worst part – but you know, owning up is the least he could do. Were he to do so, even if some people condemn him for being a confirmed rapist, what’s done is done, and at least he would have done some small part to make it “right.” Not really right, but… well. The rightest thing you can try to do in this situation. Acting like those five women - FIVE - are liars is a total scumbag move. 

So that’s why in addition to being grossed out, angry, and betrayed, now we can also add disappointed to the list. Why he couldn’t just do right by these women in what little way he can now, we don’t know. We seriously wonder if he’s even capable of the level of hubris it would take to truly, deep down believe that it’s okay for him to behave like this… well, sucks to suck, we guess, and sucks for him if he doesn’t fix himself and thus remains a terrible person forever, and sucks for his family and sucks for friends. 

We decided to keep our URL intact, as a show of what big fans of Robert Knepper we were. We just wanted to emphasize that. A Robert Knepper fan blog is ragequitting. We were huge fans of Robert Knepper, and we are abandoning ship. We supported him for such a long time. We supported him through terrible movies and shows (“Hey, lots of people have mortgages.”). No more. If he wanted our love and support, then maybe he shouldn’t have done what he did. Our only regret is that we cannot take him to task to his face. We know the things that we have to say aren’t going to affect him at all, but screw you anyway, Robert. (Is anyone mad at us, as fans, for cutting Robert loose? Hope this makes you feel better.)

Nah, you didn’t know, none of us did. Don’t feel that way. You did not know then what you know now. 

But NOW? 

Worry no longer, because at least you now have some answers! As a matter of fact, Robert did put out a new statement, two days ago – just not what you were hoping for! Read it here. 

This blog has withdrawn all its support for Robert Knepper while still maintaining its original URL to illustrate that even his most ardent fans have straight-up abandoned him. 

We here at “Fuck Yeah, Robert Knepper!” are so excited to tell you that we have finalized a binding agreement to be acquired. “Fuck Yeah, Robert Knepper!” has now been bought out and acquired, and will continue to operate, business as usual, at @kiefergonnakief and we hope to see you all there. We would love to have you follow us.

Going forward, we would like to assure you that @kiefergonnakief will continue to be run by the same administration and board of directors that you have grown to know and love. (Or send anonymous hate mail to. Either way.) Our mission and goals will remain the same as they have since the day “Fuck Yeah, Robert Knepper!” opened its doors: to support Kiefer Sutherland in every way possible.

Next, we report that the “Fuck Yeah, Robert Knepper!” 2017 Award Ceremony was recently held, and occurred before the company buyout. Thus, as the year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to announce that Kiefer Sutherland, a great man and inspiration to us all, has been named the “Fuck Yeah, Robert Knepper!” 2017 Man of the Year:
