Les amis except I decide if they would say pain au chocolat or chocolatine and I am clearly biased about it
(because I am french and I have nothing better to do)
First of all I am just going to completely disregard everything Hugo said because according to him everyone is from the South of France except I refuse to believe all of them would agree on this issue
Enjolras : pretends he couldn't care less except 1- he always says pain au chocolat and 2- he said chocolatine once and now no one is letting it go. It has been nearly ten years.
Combeferre : has always said pain au chocolat and only cared about the discourse as a joke at first but now he's beginning to take it too seriously. will remind Enjolras of the chocolatine incident on any given occasion
Courfeyrac : started saying chocolatine only to mess with Combeferre and at first it felt like inner betrayal everytime he said it but then he grew into it. so now he says chocolatine in the most natural way possible and gets to mess with his friends
Jehan : chocolatine when they are with R, however with everyone else they will be going for the weirdest name they can come up with just for fun. Courfeyrac enjoys it a lot and started to do the same thing around Marius to confuse him
Bahorel : pain au chocolat. And he will start fights about it.
Feuilly : does not care as long as he gets one. however if there is a fight about it he will choose whatever side seems funnier at the moment
Joly : Chocolatine comes more naturally but he can switch depending on the day. will still remind everyone that pain au chocolat is technically incorrect though
Bossuet : Chocolatine. which is ironic because canonically he's the only one not from the south but he finds the word funny. Joly had to drag him away from Bahorel on numerous occasions
Grantaire : has been saying chocolatine since he was a child but didn't mind switching to pain au chocolat. Except then he noticed how much Courfeyrac saying chocolatine annoyed Enjolras so now he has switched back to mess with his friends
Marius : used to say chocolatine, didn't even know the discourse was a thing and has been getting glares from Combeferre so now he orders a croissant instead
Eponine : true pain au chocolat believer and almost hit Marius on multiple occasions because of it. also gets in heated dicussions with Joly
Gavroche : well he is from Paris so he would say pain au chocolat except he is staying with Grantaire too much. They have placed bets on who Enjolras will kill first.
