The Tony and Grammy award winning production “Beautiful-The Carole King Musical” is now gracing the stage at Broadway Austin. Salisha Thomas is part of the vibrant and energetic cast and she stopped by with more on what we can expect. In the show she plays Lucille, the secretary of Don Kirshner who helped Carole King get her first big break.

"I've met so many people at the stage door who just come up to me and say, 'This song, this album brings me back to so many specific moments in my life,'" said Julia Knitel, who plays Carole King.

Broadway In Chicago and producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing have announced four additional weeks have been added to the Chicago return engagement, and will now play Broadway In Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph) December 5, 2017 through January 28, 2018.

Actor Liam Tobin, who has played many different roles such as Tony in WEST SIDE STORY, Lord Farquaad in SHREK THE MUSICAL, Buddy in ELF, and Gabe in NEXT TO NORMAL has quite a diverse resume and now has this beautiful (pun, obviously, intended) show to his resume. Liam gave me some inside scoop on his path to an acting career as well as what we can expect to learn about Ms. Carole King this week.

BEAUTIFUL - THE Carole King MUSICAL tells the true story of King's rise to fame as being part of a songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin. With such hits as "The Locomotion," "Up on the Roof," "(You Make Me Feel Like) a Natural Woman," and "I Feel the Earth Move," BEAUTIFUL blends King's life with the music that helped define a generation. Along with songwriters Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, BEAUTIFUL tells their story of how they became some of the most successful songwriters of an era. Recently, BWW, had a chance to chat with actor, Ben Fankhauser who plays Barry Mann, to discuss the show, his role and how BEAUTIFUL is bringing in audiences of all ages as it travels around North America.
