“There is no affliction nor difficulty except that it is surrounded by a blessing from God.”

اِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّيْ سَيَهْدِيْنِ

“Blessings have degrees, so do not hasten towards a fruit that is not yet ripe. He Who manages your affairs is more aware of the timing that is in your best interests. Trust in His wisdom, and do not hurry for what you desire before its time, for your heart may become distressed and despair may overcome you.”

One day, I felt a sadness fall upon me. My father [Imam Ja'far] told me, ‘Call upon God, so that your sorrow may leave your heart. Recite continuously, “Ya Ra'ufu, Ya Raheem” [O the Most Compassionate, O the Most Merciful] and find comfort and strength in His Endless resource of Mercy, for indeed in His Name lies the remedy and healing to all our wounds.
