🎨 We're so excited that Kathy Zielinski, Supervising Animator (Frollo) will be joining The Official Unofficial Fan Celebration for the 30th Anniversary of Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame on Saturday, June 20th!

✨ In addition to Judge Claude Frollo from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Kathy Zielinski has been instrumental in bringing several notable animated characters to life such as: Ursula in Disney's The Little Mermaid, Frank in Disney's The Rescuers Down Under, Jafar (as Beggar and Snake) in Disney's Aladdin, Tzekel-Kan in DreamWorks' The Road to El Dorado, Spirit in DreamWorks' Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, and Marina in DreamWorks' Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas among others!

Kathy has also worked on many other Disney films including The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver & Company and Frozen, as well as many DreamWorks films within their core franchises: Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon and Madagascar. She's worked on almost every DreamWorks film between 1998-2014.

I've always known that Kathy had an impressive filmography, but I didn't realize just *how many* films she's worked on until I looked at the full list!

This online event will be livestreamed on the YouTube channel Hunchback30thAnniversary. If you're not able to join us, don't worry! The event will be recorded and kept on YouTube.

We're very excited to celebrate how much we all love Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, reminisce about our favourite related memories over the past 30 years, and for our special guests to share their insights and experiences working on the movie.

*Gary Trousdale is unavailable to attend the livestream, but he will be pre-recording an interview.

🔔 We will keep everyone updated on the exact scheduling of each special guest, and if there are any changes. Please be patient as we're coordinating across 10 different timezones!

This online event will be hosted live and it will be facilitated in the format of a panel discussion with our special guests (hint: the production team & the lyricist 😉). The timing of the event is still TBC, but it will be confirmed shortly!

In addition to this online panel discussion with our special guests, we're also exploring the possibility of doing a casual group chat for fans to chat together afterwards (online via. Discord), and an in-person meet up in Paris on Sunday, June 21st.

You can submit multiple questions. There is no set limit on the number of questions that you can submit, but it's better to focus on "quality over quantity". We want questions that will evoke lively and engaging discussions. 

Questions about our guests’ personal experiences working on the movie are allowed, but no questions about their private life. We want everyone to feel comfortable. 

Keep all questions related to Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Although there are themes in the movie that are relevant to the present day, this is not meant to be a political discussion. This event is meant to celebrate how much we all love Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, reminisce about our favourite related memories over the past 30 years, and for our special guests to share their insights and experiences working on the movie. 

Keep all questions PG-13 (at most). 

Due to time constraints, some questions may not be selected. 

The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 29th at Midnight PST. 

If you don't make the deadline or if you think of another question later on, don't worry! There will be time allocated at the end to take additional questions in real-time. 

Coming Soon: New Hunchback of Notre Dame Pins

Disney announced several new pins that will be released for the movie's 30th Anniversary!

The pins will first be released at a Disney Pin Trading event at WDW/Disney World on June 15th (which is already sold out!), but then they will be available to purchase in the park.

There's no details yet on whether or not they will be available to purchase at other Disney parks (they likely will be), or if they will be available to purchase online.

There's also 2 more Hunchback of Notre Dame pins that are planned to be released in June as well (photos below), that were announced at a Disney Pin Trading event a few months ago, but there's no details yet on where/when/how those will be released.
