when i asked whether their autistic classmate's meltdown was dangerous or merely uncomfortable, they said, "i felt like i was in danger!"

yes you should, actually. that's life. upsetting things happen. no one should have to experience any discomfort. but we do. we get stung by bees and sunburns and headaches. we live in bodies in the world.

autistic people are human beings who have the right to exist in society, including during meltdowns. having one class of your entire semester interrupted by a singular meltdown is not anymore of an infringement upon your entitlement to education than having your class interrupted by a fire alarm or cancelled for a snow storm.

one of my peers once experienced a cardiac event 10 minutes into class. it was terrifying. it was desperately upsetting. i was contacted by the school and offered counseling because i happened to be the one who managed the situation until paramedics arrived. everyone was worried about my classmate first and foremost, and then about me. no one blamed anyone, and certainly when my classmate happily recovered and returned to school, no one thought they should be removed from the program.

What is the difference between a bee and a wasp? Well, to put it in the simplest way— bees are complete nectarivores and get protein by processing pollen and nectar in multiple ways while wasps are only nectarivores as adults and get all their protein needs out of the way as larvae by consuming bug meat. So here comes the exception; despite being more related to yellowjackets and paper wasps than they are to bees, members of the group referred to as "pollen wasps" feed their larvae a diet sourced entirely from plant pollen and nectar, just like bees. Though while bees are known for processing it and making it more of a "bread", these wasps do it more stew style.

They also sleep very similarly to scoliid wasp (which they are only distantly related to) by curling up tightly around sticks or grass

like textually shes obsessed with these weird battery-powered christmas reindeer doll thinigies and places them all over her house, she owns at least three katana (black one in the bedroom, the kitchen one, and one she keeps on her person that she used to slash the office diaper guy's briefcase), has a secondary obsession with heart-shaped objects (???), preserves her daughter's arts and crafts project (snowflakes) by bronzing it. shes also fucking batman apparently, the scary reindeer ninja woman who eradicated crime in hometown and makes the car-benchpressing undyne look like a chump. and she has ice powers in the light world or smth bc she drops the temperature of rooms with her sheer presence.
