I like them all but in different ways y'know? I've gotten the honor to spar with each of them as an instructor!

Agraston is... a force, but extremely calm and collected that it genuinely scares me featherless whenever we spar. Also, I still can't believe he actually went through with teaching Raph how to roll. My tailfeathers...

Qia can be hardheaded when it comes to her attitude and fighting style, but I think she has potential. She's been going through a lot since her father fell to an archfiend, but I see her going far now that the war is over. Rumor has it her and Caldan might date soon so who knows!

Ardi can seem distant at first but once you get to know her, she's actually one of the sweetest people I've met! Fierce and fast in battle yes, but again, a sympathetic leader! Still don't know what she meant by "I know what you are."

I never really got to speak much to Zelda, Mineru, or Rauru -- but when I could when I was around Raphica, they were wise leaders. They helped lead us through the whole war, which certainly isn't easy. When Zelda flew into the sky as a dragon... Raphica went quiet that day...

And for Raphica himself... I honestly can't ask for a better man to have known for a big part of my life. I've helped him, and he's helped me -- but it's been getting harder lately. Being an elder isn't easy even if the war has ended, but I'll still defend him with my life if I have to. I mean that.

Currently Reading: re-read of Nona the Ninth and fanfic wise, What it Means to be Chosen and In the Shadow of Death.

Last film: Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. Son’s pick. It was okay.

Last show: Witch Hat Atelier. It’s SO GOOD! I just bough a couple of volumes of the manga to start reading ahead.

Coffee or Tea: coffee is too hard on my stomach so tea, Earl Grey, Hot.

Video Games: working on 100% for BotW, and just traded for DKC Tropical Freeze and Megaman 11 so I’ll be trying those soon. I want to go back to Metroid Dread, as well.

Working on:

Two main writing projects right now are A Link Against the Dark and a series of short snapshots that will be a sort of prequel to The Masked Rogue. Also working on refining the plot for the ACTUAL Masked Rogue story.

Art-wise, I’m practicing a stained glass effect with markers because I want to use it on an illustration for A Link Against the Dark and I don’t want it to be my first time trying it.

Reading: mostly stuff to make sure I’m giving out correct information for a workshop I’m hosting next month. Yikes

Last film: recently attended a screening of UHF but I was sort of working behind the scenes so I’m not sure I saw much… but I’ve seen it dozens of times.

Last show: Survivor because my MIL likes it so when it’s on we all watch it.

Video Games: I’m kinda doing maintenance stuff in Animal Crossing (ousted a village I despised today!), a deep replay of Tears of the Kingdom and a lot of Pokémon Go

Working on:

- a 2 hour presentation on getting started with performance showing plastic horses to be delivered at our huge con in like. 5 weeks.

- two fics that were offered as prizes for events I agreed to before getting sidelined with surgery.

- Draw Everything June and realizing I need to put in more dedicated practice as I think I’m at that point where I don’t like what I’m doing because my ability to see vs do are flipped

- a wig to boots rebuild of my BOTW Link cosplay which is definitely not making its original deadline either, thanks so much uterus.

- obsessive tourchasing a favorite musician which is why everything else is in a holding pattern until Friday

Currently Reading: Finished Dungeon Crawler Carl, reading another litRPG series, Defiance of the Fall (3).

Last film: The Cave (2005). I recently dove in the exact place where this was filmed. Watched it with my parents and they said "as your dad I have to tell you, kid, please don't go into cave diving." 😏 ok dad

Last show: DanDaDan, then a little bit of Chainsaw Man. So good. I'm really enjoying the fighting/action anime but Witch Hat Atelier is calling my name...

Coffee or Tea: I love tea but someone made me the best café olla (coffee, cinnamon, honey or brown sugar, chocolate powder) I've ever had in my life and I'm getting hooked

Video Games: Painfully slowly working my way through PL:ZA but I'm trying to level up my team so I can defeat Jacinthe! Grabbing The Great Ace Attorney every once in a while to scream over Sherlock Holmes. I think I'm finally feeling ready to play Persona 5 soon though! Argh I gotta finish Pokemon first!!!!

Working on:

Art: Comic diary entry for my side scuba website 🪸 Working on my comic for June Moon is kicking my butt (detailed transformation sequences can be time consuming!!) 🌝 and working on submissions for the like 5 zines I've entered ough ⭐

Scuba: I'm getting a Specialty Course certification tomorrow! "Dive Against Debris." Figuring out what I want to focus on next.... Everyone I talk to is trying to get me to go the Instructor route but I don't feel confident 👀💦

3 My birthday is drawing near, perfect excuse to treat myself to... some kind of fun scuba maybe, I dunno! Haven't decided what I'll do. I'm taking suggestions 👀

Last Film: I watched Project Hail Mary in theaters back in March, that was good! (Before that, legitimately might have been Dune 2 back when that came out...)

Last Show: I watched Andor last summer, nothing since then. Very very good, would recommend it to literally everyone (and it has me thinking of writing a fic where Maul winds up joining Luthen's cell, I think they'd be fun to put in a room together)

Video Games: Surprisingly don't play those that much for someone who posts in a video game fandom! I did play a bit of Minecraft last week.

Working on:

Progress on The Second Calamity is coming slowly but surely, wrist is making it take way longer than I'd like but it's happening. Eventually.

I'll also be working on sample collection for my senior thesis very soon! Going to be working on metamorphic rocks of the Vernon Supergroup in the New Jersey Highlands. I've got a site that's interpreted as a metatonalite that might be a bit harder to work with (the mineralogy isn't too exciting), a metasedimentary site with garnets, and depending on if the landowner lets me on, another metaigneous site that supposedly contains both hypersthene (a kind of orthopyroxene) and some kind of clinopyroxene, which means that I'll be able to play games with the pyroxene quadrilateral.

Maybe a bit less relevant to Tumblr, I am running a game of my Diplomacy variant Era of Solitude, which is based on the world from the Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson. It's fun, but I don't think there are very many Diplomacy players on Tumblr.

Last movie: Deadpool and Wolverine (2024) on the plane to Taipei! They didn't have GOTG3 on the plane so I had to settle with this film. I remember watching it in theaters a few years back and having a grin throughout. Still did :]

Last show: Spider Noir! Last thing I watched before I left for Asia! Watched EP1 with my dad and we loved it. I watched the black n white version and felt more authentic as the actual universe the character is in is fully black and white.

Coffee or Tea: BOTH! Both is good :]

Last played: Tomodachi Life Living the Dream! I was in progress of making Kohga for my island but couldn't finish it as we were busy that day and needed to sleep early to go to Japan. Either way, I LOVE that game and honestly it's probably the only game I've played recently. Messing around with my 20+ miis and the customization is fun ^v^

It feels different and I like that!
