I don’t know whether my first jsk, offbrand, is an A-line or Bell shape so I’ve been going without one entirely.

Not long ago about two weeks back, I hosted a casual open meet, meaning it was not by invitation but by whoever wanted to come. Now that I reflect on that decision I know it was a stupid one. Anyhow, a good amount of fellow lolitas came from our comm, it was all dandy until this one girl arrived. She shows up in this neon pink eyesore that is Satan reincarnated into a dress. No one could look at her for more than a minute. After the meet she complained why no one talked to her, I wonder why...

there's this girl in our comm who is cringy af. shes rude, selfish, and spoiled. she does fortnite dances in public in lolita. unfortunately she's the one most people meet first in our comm and I'm so embarrassed because we're not like that.

I'm extremly dissapointed by the latest Angelic Pretty releases. Nothing strikes me about those new releases that makes ne want to buy them? The only print this year that i LOVED was toy doll box (and to my sorrow i missed the oportunity to get the mint jsk...). Those ugly rereleases of prints like holy lantern and misty sky don't help AT ALL! Angelic pretty needs to rerelease the popular prints again like sugary carnival, toy parade, dreamy dollhouse, cotton candy shop and so on.

I detest when people try to do every single substyle on earth. they usually end up half assing most of it and it never looks good.

I have never bought anything straight from AP. I used to love every other release and would feel compelled to buy something when I got paid, but I could never bring myself to do it. I don't think I ever will buy anything new from AP, I don't like the direction they're going, and if I really wanted something I'd just wait for someone to sell it so I could give an older piece a new home. Recycling I guess?

Dresses that end just a couple centimeters above the knees are the cutest <3 (just hard to find legwear options beside tights though)

It amuses me that AP is copying Oojia's teal Holy Lantern colorway. Proof that they actually pay attention to a replica's success.

I’m the anon who just sent the ask about clothing sizes/body types - I definitely agree with you, and I understand the frustration of many lolitas who don’t fit into brand. I was just confused by the “real women don’t fit into these clothes, only babies and anorexics” sentiment that I’ve seen at times.

This girl in my comm is always super rude and disrespectful. She disregards anyone she doesnt like, anytime someone asks about the fashion she either ignores them or is just short with them and the rest of us have to come in and try and make them not upset by how she just treated them. Im honestly at a loss for what to do and any advice on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated.

I am all for body positivity and I firmly believe that anyone can be beautiful in lolita. As a relatively small and fit woman who fits easily in brand, though, one thing confuses me: when larger lolitas act like only anorexics/kids fit in brand. I understand that my body type is smaller than average in the West, but there are plenty of healthy grown women (and a higher percentage in East Asia) that fit in brand. To clarify, this is not oppression against skinny people, but just... confusion.

I hate how offbrands offer multiple sizes for one dress because it makes secondhand dress hunting so much more difficult for an already small brand.
