◇ In relation to the "reincarnations", it depends on which one you ask... All of them have some sort of defiance with the idea, from the changes that need to be performed to make them as physically close to the Main 6 as possible to the new friendship lessons they have to go through together to learn how to be like their counterparts- its a full time job for all of them. This is especially so because they're only allowed to drop the act in complete solitude in fear of the others telling.

♡ Amazing question!! Answering this requires a little explanation of my personal AUs world building!!

◇ Alicorns are celestial beings tied to important universal elements through grand uses of magic (i.e in this au Celestia would become an Alicorn after performing her first successful sun setting). However, immortality really sucks! With the eventual buildup of magic, alicorn bodies start to change ( See the white on Twilight's coat, curved horn, and extra wings), and with thousands of experiences and losses, it becomes harder for them to continue to be humane rulers, making the need to make more. Celestia and Luna have long since become inhuman, vanishing and becoming unreachable- the only evidence they're still alive is the sun cycle. Alicorns after a while also view time differently, which will be important in a second.

- A psychological horror MLP AU summary

The princess of friendship was known far and wide to be one of the kindest and most benevolent of the royal princesses. With her friends by her side she was able to solve any problem that Ponyville, and at large Equestria, was having- punishing those who sow chaos and uplifting the community with the groups daily antics.

However, the princess was gifted something none of her other friends possessed- immortality. Years pass with threats subdued, enough for the Main 6 to prosper and have families, but with every moment they each grew older. When the last of the mortal Main 6 passed, Twilight grew heavily depressed. Threats began to reign again, and while the princess could wield all the elements alone, it just wasn't right. Twilight spiraled, hidden away from her people that she soon neglected.

With no end in sight, Ponyville had to learn to fight and provide for themselves. Life continued on, with little or no sightings of Princess Twilight Sparkle.

That's until one day she spotted something she never thought she'd see again- a sonic rainboom. It came in a different form, a storm with thunderous rainbows, but it was undeniable.. to her at least. Her friends must have been reborn, their stories starting anew- but what if something went wrong? So in the first private appearance in quite some time, Princess Twilight took to following what she believed to be signs of these reincarnations, and bribed 5 families to give her their children. From then on, she'd raise the new main 6 to be just as they were before.
