Maybe, but don’t worry what they think. Just worry about yourself and you’ll be all good.

It’s not that weird to get a coffee in my current state, alright? Consider this a walk of shame i’m not ashamed of.

“T-That’s really pretty. You look great in it.”

“You look like you’re planning to murder someone or just concentrating really hard. Which one is it?”

Anyone missing a cat? Black one with white on the tips of his ears, found him hiding in my closet. Definitely not mine. And I swear to God, we’re not taking in another cat; two is more than enough.

Sorry, miss, but this cat isn’t mine. I hope you find the owner soon, though.

“I’m a slaaaaaaave for you. I cannot hold it; I cannot control it.”

“Are you singing a song or actually being serious?”

“Last time I tell a joke. Not one bit of laughter? Like none at all? It wasn’t the slightest bit funny? Come on, Christian Bale? Is it just not- okay, never mind.”

“I think you need to come up with a better joke, man.”

Please don’t ask me how many shots I’ve had because I honestly lost count five shots in.

It looks like someone is having lots of fun.

No worries, man. I actually wasn’t saying anything, to be honest. The man next to me was chatting away so you probably heard him.

“Hi there! My name is Carrie and I was wondering if you had a few minutes to talk about homele-…” 

“Since that man was very rude for leaving you, I could answer a few of your questions. I have nothing else to do right now.”

“Good plan, stranger. School is school. There’s always going to be work to do. At least you were smart enough to not double major like I did.”

“You’re very right with that, fellow stranger. Oh my, double major does seem a bit scary, but also a good challenge. What are you majoring in?”

“Your last school sound like what dreams are made of. First day without homework? Amazing. Though, I really can’t say much– I technically don’t go to the University. Just use their libraries and what not. But, nevertheless, welcome to Darlington. Where abouts are you from?”

“It truly was, though I think I do like it here better, despite the amount of homework I was given. Really? May I ask you what you do then? And thank you, i’m happy to be here. I’m from France, born and raised. What about yourself?”

“It’s rough,” they shrugged, “but it’s a very good school. Well worth the effort.”

“I hope so! I’m liking the people here already. I’m Gabriel, Gabriel Alexander.”

“I would protest by not doing the homework.  Show ‘em who is boss and kick ‘em where it hurts.” 

“I like that style, but it happens to be that i’m a good guy who hates hurting people’s feelings so I think I’m going to wait until Sunday to do it all, at least.”

“What did you expect? At least it’s the weekend and you can put it off until Sunday.”

“I expected the school to be nice, but it’s all good. That’s very true and it’s exactly what I’m going to do.”

“It is Uni. You can’t really except less than that, can you?”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right on that. Though, my last school let every new student not have homework for their first day, so I’d thought it’d be the same.”
