While being remarkably similar to the puddle slime, the mimic is very different in abilities. The mimic will only be found either alone or with 2 other mimics, as they are mainly solitary creatures who will be more aggressive towards other mimics.

The mimic, like its namesake, can mimic the appearance of others, although the usefulness of this ability also doesn't help too much because it will still be the same blue color as the normal form of itself, which is displayed in the image below. The mimic seems to use its ability to morph into others that it has grown close with, for example with a fox slime that one is close with.

When stressed or frightened, the mimic will latch onto anything or anyone that it is close with and will not let go until whatever scared them goes away. It will also show this behavior when tired, which has been observed quite a lot.

A third behavior the mimic exhibits is how it will reach up towards humans it finds and seems to ask to be picked up. If ignored, the mimic will not interact with that human for a few days.

Also love that you made DaD his backstory. A part of his character i like a lot is the fact that, even when he himself doesn't feel like he deserves it, he still ends up forming a new life and finding a new home and people who loves him over and over again. Even if it doesn't last, it is still important to try, because the fact that it existed is beautiful, yk? So, like, maybe David will never return, but that doesn't mean that this 4c doesn't have a future

i mentioned this from someone's fanart of my au, but David actually had 3 brothers, all slime skin minecrafters!! He was also close with a certain two humans...
