Mask up. Your body your choices. But also their body their health. Protect your neighbors protect yourself.
Be kind.
Be patient. It takes some people longer to get where you are then it took you. Thats life.
Build community where you live even if jts just joining local facebook groups or attending library events AND TALKING TO PEOPLE. (Look im introverted as hell im guilty of not talking to my neighbors too. We can all grow together).
The push for a better future is not a high speed train one person fix-all. Its a bus route. And you cant get from A-Z in one go. You want better? Yes tell canidates what you want from them, demand they do more. Use your voice. But also keep moving forward. 4yrs of an imperfect canidate does more good than 4yrs of literal facism.
Vote in your mid terms. Please. Do your research and vote in your midterms in 2yrs. My fellow blue spots in a red sea? Im looking at you. Turn out in droves, we need you now more than ever bc they get us every time in mid terms.
Join your local Democratic and/or Indepented groups. Hell, bring thkse two groups together. Work together. Find the common ground and build on it.
Breathe. Create. Go outside. Turn on water noices or bird song or find/make/buy fake plants if you cant get outside safely. Find something simple you loved as child and do it again.
We are here. We will get through the next four years even if its with skinned knees and broken bones. But it starts now. It starts with community. It starts with kindness and patience. It starts with holding out a hand and saying "Hi, I'm here. You're not alone."
We are here. And we arent going anywhere.
