Visa For Family Petitions
A family petition visa is a type of visa that allows immediate family members of U.S. citizens (spouses, children, and parents) to come to the United States permanently. This type of visa is also known as an immigrant visa. It is granted through a process called family-based immigration. The process involves filing a petition with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to prove that an immediate family member is a U.S. citizen and that the foreign-born relative meets all the requirements for a family-based petition. Once the petition is approved, the foreign-born relative can apply for a visa at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in their home country. If approved, the family member can come to the United States to live and work.
