hey, I just wanna ask, is this from a real Joe interview? it’s been resurfacing and I’m stressed bc it looks so AI but I’m not sure if that’s just my paranoia/ the colouring 😭 not accusing u of anything!! i just would love to know :))

No worries! Better to ask than to wonder :) It's not AI, it's actually from a movie called 'Death to 2021', not from an interview! He played the character 'Duke Goolies' in there (as well as in the Death to 2020 movie). -

It's kinda sad, isn't it? That we have to wonder whether people have put his face (or anyone elses) into some generative AI bs... I sincerely hope they'll never manage to truly copy his expressiveness. I have unfortunately seen WAY TOO MUCH (I mean any post is too much, but there is... a. lot.) people make generative AI images of Joe. Either as Steve or as himself, and it's just fucking awful to me.

Mind you, it's l i t e r a l l y illegal. I hope his team starts to sue these people, because they simply seem to fail to understand the damage it does. Joe is a human. You are putting his likeness into a machine without his consent and make him do whatever you want. How do people not see how wrong that is??? It is insane to me how people think it's okay to just 'do this for fun'.

Same for the people who repost AI things and say shit like 'Fuck AI' but then still spread the thing. Or say 'Fuck AI' but still post it because they think it's so ridiculous it's funny. IT NEVER IS. STOP IT.
