This is a blog run by @crowdotexe for their OC story, FREAKSHOW.TV ! Or FS.TV for short.
FREAKSHOW.TV follows the five (5) main unwilling cast members of a show that airs once every week, worldwide, all filmed live. Popularity polls determine if they stay or not, and...well, the show's host doesn't hesitate to terminate a contract. Some of them try to find a way out, some of them just try to get by; but all of them are stuck, performing for an audience that doesn't remember who they were before.

The newest addition to the FREAKSHOW cast, Dollip is a nervous ice cream fox kemonomimi with a heart of gold!! She doesn't quite yet know how things work around here...but not to worry! She'll learn soon.
🕯️Wicc
Age: 20
Years in the show at the start of the story: three (3)
A staple of the show, this living candle sports a standoffish attitude and a cold demeanor. She's typically the straight man in episodes, though she does have a habit of getting into arguments. They don't exactly like to stay in character...
🎲♠️Ace
Age: 19
Years in the show at the start of the story: ten (10)
The longest-remaining character on the show, Ace is quite frankly an egotistical jerk with a better-than-you attitude. The rest of the cast doesn't really like him, but he's the number one staple of the show, and he brings in the most views!
🦈Gummi
Age: 18
Years in the show at the start of the story: four (4)
Their name is the most obvious hint for what they are; they're a gummy shark!!! They're the most energetic and rambunctious of the cast, though often ditzy and a little childish. Another popular character, second after Ace!!
🍰😈Debbie
Age: 18
Years in the show at the start of the story: two (2)
Often the quietest in episodes, though sometimes the main voice of reason, Debbie tends to stick to the sidelines unless needed. She doesn't talk much with the rest of the cast; but as much as her impish appearance might lead you to believe, she is actually rather kind!...when she wants to be.

hi guys!! bit of a different post for today! i wrote something yesterday after my friend gave me the writing urge, and him posting what he wrote made me think about maybe doing it too...so i am !!
i wrote some backstory stuff for my OC Gummi, from my story FREAKSHOW.TV :)
quick content warning for suicidal ideation; it's vague but i would rather be safe and not accidentally harm someone by not doing my due diligence. also there are swears.
the writing is below the cut! i hope you guys enjoy :)
“Hm? Oh- um…”
“Hey █████, did you get those notes from yesterday?”
You're not smiling. Smile. You didn't catch what she said. Ask.
“S-sorry…what’d you say?”
Don't be rude. Kind tone. You still aren't smiling. Smile. Not like that, too wide. There. Keep that. Hold it. What’d she say? Her mouth is moving. You aren't paying attention. Pay attention. Eye contact. Smile. That light is too bright. Too loud. Hard to focus. Shit, focus, damn it. Eye contact. Smile.
“-notes, I need them. I didn't get them yesterday.”
“Oh- Let me look!”
What notes? Which class? Do you even share a class with her? God, that's awful that you don't know. You're awful. You don't know your classmates? You don't know which class she’s talking about? You're awful. It's probably this one. Context clues. This class, notes from yesterday. Your smile’s gone. Perk up.
“These, right?”
“Yep! Thank you, █████!”
Smile. Your smile’s gone. Why aren't you smiling. Eye contact. Don't be rude. Nod and turn away. Jesus, act normal, damn it. Just fucking act-
Walking through the door always puts a pit in my stomach. I try to be quiet. I've mapped out in my head where all the squeaky boards are in the house. I need to rest. Maybe this time I can go up to my room and not let her know I’m home. Like she would notice anyway. Or care. I shut the door- Shit. Too loud. I can't ever get that right.
She peeks her head out of the kitchen before sighing and fully walking into the frame (arch?) separating it from the living room. Her eyes feel like knives. The pit in my stomach grows deeper. Feels almost endless.
“Welcome home. How was your day?”
Smile.
“It was good. A little busy though.”
That ended with a period, should've ended with an exclamation point. Smile more. Not too much. More. More. No, too much again.
“Didn’t go to study with your friends today?”
Shit. I forgot. I don't have the energy for it anyway.
“Study group got cancelled.”
“I see.”
Silence stretches on for what feels like hours. I can never tell if I’m good to leave or not. She just stands in the doorway, looking at me. I can't read her at all. I can never read her.
“...You’re failing chemistry.”
My heart skips a beat. I thought I was doing good. I thought I had it all together. I shouldn't be surprised because it's so hard to focus, and I’ve been exhausted lately, and burnt out, and…fuck, I thought it was all perfect. I thought I was perfect. I thought I finally had it figured out, what I needed to do, what I needed to say, how I needed to behave, who I needed to be. Not good enough. Not good enough. Not good. Not good, not good, never good, never, never, neve
“We’ll talk after dinner. You can go to your room right now.”
“I- I’m sorry, I just-”
“No excuses. We will talk later. Go to your room.”
“Mom, I-”
“Jesus christ, do you not fucking hear me!? I know you’re not deaf! Room, now, I won't repeat myself twice!”
Tears fight to try and leave my eyes. She’s just staring at me. It's not worth the fight. She’s going to yell at me again. Yell and call me stupid and a disgrace and a disappointment and a worthless child and she’s going to wonder what’s wrong with me, why she ended up with a child that can't do anything right, and I’ll wish I could say what's wrong but I’ll bite my tongue until all I taste is copper because I know what she’ll say. Because we’ve had the same conversation so many times I can't even count. And when it's all said and done I’ll go upstairs to my room and cry into my pillow so she can't hear, and bite my gums until they bleed, and wish I was somewhere, anywhere but here, anytime but now, anything but existing.
In my room, I stare at my calendar with a mix of disdain and dread.
Gummi is a gummy shark humanoid who has been in the show for 4 years. Far less time than our previous cast member, but still pretty long!! Their character is typically bright, bubbly, aloof, and sometimes childish. They're the "comedic relief" of FREAKSHOW.TV most episodes. The rest of the cast gets along with them pretty well, even Ace!!

Before the show...
Their life and mental state had been in a gradual decline for years, and they had began to grow tired of a world where they kept having to hide behind a mask. One night, at their lowest, a mysterious person in a suit found them at a bridge, and presented them with a contract, promising a place that would fit them far better...
Thought it'd be cool to do introductions for the FREAKSHOW.TV cast outside of their VERY brief blurbs on my pinned post, so here goes! I'll be going in order of how long the characters have been in the show. I will not be doing an introduction for Umbrax, this is for the cast members only! First up....
Ace!
Ace has been in the show for 9 years, and his character generally falls into the "absolute piece of dookie" archetype. He sucks. He's a sucky guy. Mean to the rest of the cast and extremely full of himself. Unfortunately, he's one of two cast members that falls into his character EXTREMELY easy, to the point that it's more likely you get Ace the character than Ace the person. Only one other cast member actually likes him, that being Gummi.
(will add reference sheet so you guys can see his design later!! i need to remove some stuff from them that isn't exactly canon anymore...)
Before the contract...
He came from money and was pretty set for his life, up until his college days. He joined a frat, realized he was am adult and could do whatever he wanted, and started gambling. Being prone to addiction, he got hooked extremely quickly, and ran himself dry by age 19. He tried to beg his parents for more money, but they denied it from him in order to "teach him a lesson."
Desperate for cash to keep himself afloat, he started making posts online asking if anyone had any jobs they needed done that he could do. He met someone who said they had an opportunity for him with a huge sum attached, and when they met up one night, he signed the contract without a second thought...

gave my OC Ace a minor redesign where the only thing i have changed is that he now has vitiligo! because none of my OCs have ever had that and i think it’d be fun to draw

he's been the character from FREAKSHOW.TV that ive been thinking about the most lately......i doodled these earlier this year on my old ipad when i started thinking abt him a lot more than usual
i struggle with doodling his head in an actual cube shape .... it looks flatter than it should XP

did these as kind of practices with how i wanna draw them and characterize them in the comic, when i finally get around to making it. i really enjoy doing these loose doodles a lot!! they offer me way more freedom to just get ideas down cus then i can always just worry about details later!! for these its all about the motion and the Emotion :3

1. they both met in the show; Ace had already been in for around 6 years, Gummi just joined.
2. theyve known each other for 4 years at the start of the story.
3. Gummi thought Ace was rude and mean but over time warmed up to him. Ace thought nothing of Gummi but also warmed up to them as well.
4. in personality: Gummi would describe Ace as "mostly mean, but really cool if you got to know him!!". they're more honest with their feelings. Ace, on the other hand, puts up a 24/7 "idfc" attitude, and would describe Gummi as "loud, obnoxious, and way too energetic." were he to be honest, he would describe them as a great friend.
5. they get along rather well! the two dont talk much with the other cast present, but when they do talk, they really connect.
6. Ace wouldnt ever admit it, but he actually shares a few nerdy interests with Gummi, albeit more surface-level. hes always found the concept of lost media intriguing, and thats a subject Gummi knows quite a lot about. he often lets them infodump about it.
7. they see each other every day; the cast is significantly smaller than it used to be, and theyre the two most popular characters of in-universe fans, so theyre both always in episodes. besides episodes though, they still see each other every day, because theres only 3 other people they could choose to talk to. they frequently have their one-on-one conversations at the Green Room's café or in Gummi's room.

9. i actually had to take some time to think about this one. theyre both very very different in personality, an "opposites attract" type of deal, but one thing they share is that they dont ever share their true feelings. they keep most things hidden.
10. Ace is a dick and Gummi is generally pretty nice.
11. i wouldnt say so, based on my very limited idea of what a "narrative foil" is.
12. Ace shows his affection for Gummi by letting them do most of the talking when one of their interests gets brought up, as well as taking friendly jabs at them. Gummi shows theirs by willingly sharing information about their interests that they would otherwise be hesitant to.
13. they dont. not yet.
14. as of right now, no. originally they did (both wanted to leave the show), but now theyve both mostly accepted their fate, and that they wont leave. Gummi has a little hope left, though.
15. they do, simply as a byproduct of knowing each other for 4 years.

Ace is keeping a very very big secret from not only Gummi, but the rest of the cast as well. he knows gow itd make him look, and he knows itd make everyone hate him more. especially, he knows Gummi wouldnt take it well- he doesnt want their friendship to end, though he wont admit that. i cant speak any more on this, due to spoilers for the story.

23. no. Ace doesnt like the rest of the cast, and Gummi likes the rest of the cast.
24. their interaction in public is very minimal and very neutral, but their interaction in private is more friendly.

26. Ace would be pissed but grateful its someone he can at least stand to talk to, Gummi would be anxious.
27. Gummi, realistically, would not be able to risk their life for Ace, as their instinct in danger is to run. Ace would probably try to do something, but whether he would risk his life or not is...debatable.
