Something was wrong with the power. Volt was supposed to be a fix, but after a few years he was just as drained as Eddie.
Eddie was everything at the start. When Volt came, he took the current.
Now there's something else. Erratic, dangerous- alive.
The source of all that pain was alive, sitting in the Breaker Box, and twice as scared as the both of them.
Faraday
Faraday split from Eddie like Volt. They're protective, erratic, and dangerous.
The power doesn't flicker like it used to. Now it's them flickering- hair sparking, skin lighting brighter and brighter until they seem to cut out entirely, then flutter back to normal.
They have a violent streak, blacking out at times and fighting people for anything they see as a slight against Eddie or Volt.
Faraday uses primarily they/them pronouns but fluctuates.
They have a few wires at the front of their hair, the rest seems to be covered in bright yellow electricity. When the power flickers out entirely, the rest of their hair is seen to be made of frayed copper wire.
When the power surges, their hair seems to be entirely electric.
They usually wear an outfit similar to Eddie and Volt's, with differences.
They wear a short sleeve button up with warning labels as patches on the sleeves.
Their vest is missing most switches, seemingly having been ripped out, and the few that remain are damaged too.
The labels on their vest are barely there, some are torn off, others are nearly sideways, some are missing entirely.
Their pants fit loose with deep pockets, and are covered in warning label patches.
They wear converse shoes with thick soles, though the purpose of them is confusing. It might just be because of how short they are, but they never tell anyone the reason.
They're seen often with electrical tape wrapped over their fingers or wrists like bandages.
They always have an odd, flickering energy to them, watching whoever Eddie or Volt interact with.
On the few occasions they're seen without them, they seem more scared. More fidgety and erratic, like they want to get back to them as soon as possible.
Overall, they seem dangerous, but when you get to know them, it's clear they care about Eddie and Volt, and really anyone they feel close to.

Someone comes into the bar. They look confused. They're dressed like Eddie and Volt, but different.
The same vest, similar shirt, but short sleeves. Their pants are loose and covered in warning labels like patches. Their hair is yellow and electric, with a few wires at the front.
They're rather short and thin, especially compared to Volt or Eddie. They're littered with scars, lichtenberg figures, and have electrical tape as bandages. Their yellow eyes dart around the room.

As far as it seems, rhe breaker box is crowded. People too loud to have noticed the new comer so early. Tho, Magney came over pretty quickly, her eyes on the other as she sniffled him.once, twice— then thrice. She seems to be asserting if they are dangerous or not. Shortly after, A gal.comez running over.
“ oh heavens magney— dont run away like that .. ”
The gal gasps slighty, all while picking the rockweiler up. Her eyez then fall on the new patron. The giel looks hust like volt— except her outfit is more.. revealing in a way. And her hair seems slighty darker.. and it buzzes, it seems to be white noises.
“ Oh ..! I apologise for the rockweiler. Uh.. welcome to the breaker box bar. I believe our host, Volt, shall be coming over soon to help you..! ”
The girl is silent as she watches the other move away into a corner and almost basicly blend in. Theres something odd about them— she can feel it, but not tell why. With a small sigh, the girl walks away to the backstage, going up to hers and E&V appartment with Magney.
Eddie meanwhile is preparing drinks. Varying from making cocktails, to mocktails to even just some beers. He seems extremily locked in and unnoticing of someone watching him— or making such seem like that. Volt on the other hand is talking with patrons— helping them out and presenting shows in between. He's feeling rather watched but putting it aside— he's a star afterall. He should be used to that ..

There's someone sitting on the floor. They're dressed similarly to Eddie and Volt.
The Breaker Box is packed tonight and they must be taking a break from the crowd.
@frayed-wires-faraday
*Mateo isn’t really one for crowds, so he’s enjoying some quiet time right now as the inanimals nap. He approaches the person when he spots them, tilting his head.*
"I- yeah. I'm fine. Club's just too loud tonight.. Needed a minute. D'You need something?"
Their voice has a quality of gravel, but also something sparking and crackling and electric. It's a bit higher pitch than Eddie or Volt, more androgynous and mysterious.
Their hair is electric and shocking yellow, except for a few bits of wire at the front sticking out, framing their face.
*Mateo nods in understanding as he takes note of their appearance.*
I get that, it is pretty loud in there! If you'd like, you can come with me to the rescue and hang out with the inanimals? The tasselhounds can sometimes bark really loud, though...

[After a while, an unusual face walked into the breaker box. It was Jerry, twiddling with a screw.]
Lets see here...
// @trinket-keeper
Volt is chatting with a few patrons, Eddie is behind the bar, making two drinks, and Faraday is leaning against a wall near the bar with a cup in their hand, some mocktail inside.
They're watching over Volt and Eddie, idly swirling their drink and occasionally taking a sip.
They seem to have that odd, lovesick look in their eyes, contrasting so much with the rest of them. It seems like something they hide.
[Jerry looks around a bit before noticing Faraday. They seemed a bit... distracted... yeah. Distracted.. he approached, holding the screw Faraday had left with him-]
Their eyes flit over to him and they look confused.
"Do you.. need something?"
People must not usually talk to them. There's a small necklace peeking out from under their shirt, a simple wire with a small charm on it- a lightning bolt.
Oh uh... not *need* persay just- Wanted to greet you!.. you uh- Left something in my pocket when you left the office... I was wondering if you did that by mistake or....
"Keep it. I don't have a use for it.. It's bent.."
They look at him as if waiting for him to go and talk to someone else they seem utterly confused at the idea of someone talking to them instead of someone like Volt. They definitely aren't a social butterfly.
They glance behind him to check on Eddie and Volt, seeming to care deeply about the two of them.
[He smiles, fiddling with the thing for a moment before slipping it back into his pocket.]
[He looks around for a moment.. the place was alight with energy but, honestly... it was wholly out of Jerry's element. A bit intimidating really... he fiddled with his hands a moment before nervously speaking to Faraday.]
Ah... Lovely place you and Eddie and Volt run... h-heh...
"I.. I'm not used to people talking to me. Have a good night."
They take the last sip of their drink and set the empty glass on the bar top before walking down that hallway and dipping into a room with a keypad to open it and a heavy metal door.
When the door thuds closed and the lock clicks, Eddie seems to glance over, concerned. He starts washing the glass to calm his mind.
[Jerry mumbles as they leave. He was a bit confused, a bit worried... but mostly felt awkward and out of place... he fidgets nervously with his hands...]
Y-yes hello. Ah.. I'm not normally one for- night life- but I had come to speak with Faraday actually. They'd left me a trinket for the collection so- I thought I would say hello!... But uh... they don't seem one for conversation...
He pauses, looking at that door and thinking of a soft way to put it.
"They aren't the best at talking to people yet.. they get overwhelmed by questions. They'll open up more in time."
He seems close with them. There's that similar, loving spark in his eyes when he thinks about them. His smile seems more genuine as he thinks about them.
[Jerry hums, glancing at the door himself for a moment.]
I see... they said they weren't used to people coming to *them* to talk... well, I'll be mindful to give them their space. I would hate to make them uncomfortable...
[He looked back up to Volt... he smiled and quietly chuckled.]
Heh... S-sorry just- They had that same look on their face..
Volt blushes a bit, seeming a bit surprised, but he smiles softly.
"We do. They struggle with some things but.. I've watched them try to talk to others but it never seems to click with them unless it's me or Eddie.. But I watch them do those little things for us-
Cleaning things Eddie hates to clean, doing laundry while we rest, fixing things before Eddie can overwork himself. I can't bring myself to tell them.. I'm afraid I might overwhelm them.."
I see... well they sound lovely and very kind... I get struggling with people, I really do. But I'm sure if they keep at it they'll find someone they "gel" with..
As for... feelings.. thats a little harder to figure... I'm sure moreso with someone like them- No offense... I'm probably not the best to advise on that really... but...
When the times right, I'm sure you'll know it... Speaking personally, alot of times things just... fall into place.
... and if it doesn't, you can blame me for jinxing it!
Volt smiles softly, looking at him with a subtle bit of something.. soft. It's hard to place, but it's kind.
"Thank you, Jerry. Have a good night."
He slips past him, the club seems to be quieting down, and Volt calls out for last call. Most patrons are gone rather quickly after, and Volt dips into the back hallway.

[After a while, an unusual face walked into the breaker box. It was Jerry, twiddling with a screw.]
Lets see here...
