Anyway the logic here is that all force sensitives would need some amount of nightwing blood. Im thinking moon powers = Jedi powers in this au. Some of the most powerful and rare force users may also be animagi.

She’s a changling scout and also albino she only looks reformed. She is also a royal changling (think royal jelly with bees) normal changling drones in this au don’t have the mantis arms and are smaller.

Her story would start out as her being very survival oriented with the hive being so competitive. She grows up to be a very powerful Changling and a prodigy in general, so she is sent out to expand territory/find food for the hive. She is very dedicated to her mission but as she goes through her infiltration using her many pony disguises (which always have the same color scheme) she begins to find passion in simpler things like fashion. Really her many disguises are also a fashion statement to her as she is very proud of her many characters.

For her journey to her element of generosity I’m thinking of giving her huge elder sibling energy. With her being a very powerful changling royal Queen chrysalis expects much of her and she is always expected to provide for the hive. Through her infiltration her generosity becomes less and less of a self imposed obligation and much more of a way to show her affection.

I also have some extra flavouring for the changlings in general. For their shapshifting they have a spinneret that they use to weave a cocoon, which allows them to change their form in a much more creepy and bug-like way. I’m thinking the drones can really only change their forms as to mimic already existing ponies while the royal changlings can actually sculpt their forms to make a completely unique persona.

Twilight is Nightmare moons daughter in an alternative universe where most of the villains are in power.

(Nightmare moon, King Sombra, and Queen Chrysalis have powerful kingdoms. Discord is loose and is treated the same way as large scale natural disasters)

Design notes:

I see Nightmare moon as some sort of ultimate “night beast” so she has lots of traits including bat and snake. Twilight is not an alicorn (yet?) so doesn’t have the bat like wings but still has the bat ears both are also linked together through their star themes. It always bothered me that Twilight was so perfectly themed like Luna/NMM but rarely interacted (at least not as much as her and Celestia.) I want this au to be a larger “retelling” with each mane six holding a new role within this world yet still making their way back to their elements eventually. I have very clear ideas as to were each fit and will be expanding upon them in the future, for now here’s it in an eggshell:
