“I packed some muffins that I was about to get rid of since I just baked some new ones, and I promise they’re still good. Rather than throw them out, I thought I’d hand them out to people and the homeless.” Sophia said with a smile on her face despite knowing she was trying to over sell them. Maybe it was just freaking out people more. “So, please take a muffin — hell, take three of them — and if you don’t eat them then you can pass them on. Honestly, they’re great and I made too much. Nothing wrong with them at all.” Sophia said as she handed them out. “I’ll even add in a coffee.” Fuck, she just needed to shut up. “Honestly, save me from myself and take it.”

              Surely, Frankie was too trusting and that was at least part of the reason why her entire face lit up at the word ‘muffins’. She could practically smell the baked good through the paper bag— and she wasn’t her if her mouth wasn’t watering at the thought of them alone. Yes, muffins, cakes, chocolate— any kind of sweets or snacks, and Frankie was weak in the knees. 

“I mean, I probably shouldn’t, right?” She chuckled lightly, looking at Sophia and then down at the muffins. “If you have time though, we could grab a coffee and a muffin together? Definitely don’t want them to go to waste.”

Losing a big client to a competitor was probably the only thing that could positively ruin Luca’s day. He wasn’t ready to go home just yet, despite the fact that he should have been home hours ago, but he needed some peace and quiet. At least as much peace and quiet as a bar could offer. Sitting by the bar, a nearly empty glass in his hand, no one had disturbed him so far – at least not until he felt a presence beside him and a deep sigh fell from his lips. “I’ll happily put your drinks on my tab if you go find someplace else to sit,” he muttered, downing the rest of the content in his glass. “I’m serious.” / @devinstonestarters​

              While Frankie had no intentions of talking to anyone that night, she was overcome by a strange feeling of... well, not really shame, just hyper-awareness of the fact that she was alone in a bar. It wasn’t really like her— or maybe it was now and she’d just still not gotten used to it. What else was there to do though? Ethan had the kids this week, and she couldn’t bear just sitting at home on her own. 

So yeah, she could actually appreciate where the guy beside her was coming from, yet he still caught her somewhat off guard. 

Althea cursed under her breath as she climbed (not quite as gracefully as she would’ve liked) over the seats of her car before finally reaching the boot, hoping no one was around to see her and her, quite honestly, embarrassing mistake. Her car wasn’t big, quite small actually, for her own comfort, but she’d severely overestimated the parking spot and had no choice but to exit through the back. How she made it through medical school but couldn’t estimate a parking spot was beyond her. Looking up, she spotted someone walking by and she let out a loud, nervous laugh, vaguely gesturing towards the cars around her. “Y’know, they really should make these spots bigger,” she chuckled awkwardly, figuring it was best to say something than nothing at all when they’d caught her in this position. “Mind giving me a hand, though?” / @devinstonestarters​

              It took Frankie a moment to realise what she was actually witnessing. Althea making a break for it— a great escape through the back of her car. Not the sight you expect to see, but impressive nonetheless, and evident by the smile on Frankie’s lips, that’s exactly what she was.
