The test is in her hand. She sees the strong pink cross staring back at her and tosses it into the trash can without a second thought. Lucy’s halfway back to bed when her head suddenly snaps up and she stops. Pink cross. Two lines. She runs back into the bathroom, immediately grabbing the test from the trash can and holds it up in front of her, just to make sure she’s seeing it right. The strong pink lines stare back at her, just as she remembered. It’s the moment Lucy has waited 6 months for. The moment she had dreamed about for years. And in her mind, she had it all planned out. She had ordered a Big Brother bandana for Kojo and was going to let him loose when Tim came home. That was always her plan. Instead, she held the test in her hand and openly began to sob. Kojo, unsure of exactly what’s happening, starts to bark in concern. She was at a loss. She hadn’t seen the moment coming and suddenly, plans were out the window.
