Roof is in Solitary Confinement Unit (SCU), Death Row & has mail privilege. He's alone 23 hrs his cell: his meals, toilet & shower are inside his cell where he can read books, magazines, newspapers, etc. (but letters are the best of all). Roof only has 1 hr outside, also in a solitary space.
