I built a pinhole camera thingy last minute for the eclipse and I have never been so disappointed and underwhelmed in my life 😭
The specks of light in my living room are all sickle-shaped though, that's fun.
everyone i've talked to about this has been completely unaware so: if you didn't know already, there's going to be a solar eclipse, with totality or coverage of 90% or more in some places, over a lot of europe, on august 12th 2026. in the uk it will start just after 6pm, and the maximum will be at 7:13pm.
here is a map of the path of the eclipse (from timeanddate)
get eclipse glasses if you want to look at it. it is not safe to look at through sunglasses. ok informative post over o7

• Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast
I kinda love the Fallingstar Beasts, especially this one (maybe I'm biased because it drops one of my favorite weapons in the game). Wish a single one of them was in a good arena! That being said, the uneven ground worked in my favor more often than it screwed me I think and Fallingstar Beasts are not that hard. It's kinda tanky (being immune to bleed doesn't help) but I got it first try. Gets some points deducted because its head is deceptively hard to hit with a whip. Very doable though, 7.5/10 solo whip experience.

He is a war criminal and if he focused 5% of his energy into more ambitious goals than "wrecking my shit for sport" he could be Elden Lord. I am level 140 with 60 Vigor and a fully upgraded weapon by now and he still kicked my ass. Tougher than some DLC bosses. He also does the thing that I HATE where he WILL NOT let you heal. Against an enemy with this level of relentless aggression, the pitiful chip damage of the whip was painfully felt. Especially since I manged to stance break him three times and it was hateful missing out on the crit. This boss has a blue check on Twitter, 4/10 solo whip experience.
The Slop-gobblers will tell you AI is "democratizing" art, then flood Amazon and Co. with fake "learn how to draw" books, lie about their "process", post fake af "speed paints", "sketches", bases etc., flood google with slop so you can't even look up what anything LOOKS LIKE anymore, making it so much harder for beginner artists to access LEGIT learning materials without paying massive money for art school / art courses.
You are actively making art and learning art MORE of a luxury. You're making this skill HARDER to obtain. Shame on you.

I noticed rogues get to sneak attack on their first attack during their sparring session for some reason, when I was reloading to see what happens if you beat him.
Olive is like 5'3 and strength is her dump stat, it makes sense for her to fight dirty. She's also very competitive. He should have seen this coming.

Lately we have two goofy sounding birds circling over my neighborhood and I can't find a perfect match but at this point I'm pretty sure it's just buzzards (maybe young ones?), which is funny, because you're supposed to be a scary bird of prey but you sound like a rubber duckie.

The Capra Demon one day just up and leaves the other demons in the Demon Ruins, crosses a lake of lava and a giant poison swamp, climbs all the way up the rickety planks and ladders of Blight Town, wades through the filth and muck in the Basilisk infested labyrinth of the Depths, spontaneously adopts a pair of dogs on his way out, finds a nice little corner with some greenery and a view of the sky in lower Undead Burg and then LOCKS THE WAY DOWN BEHIND HIM?!

So.. I just got to the point in Act 4 of WOTR where Areelu reveals the origins of your power and I was a bit surprised that The Hand of the Inheritor lost faith in me immediately and left just like that. I don't remember him ever disapproving of any of my choices so I looked up if this always happens.
Turns out there is a hidden "respect score" (Owlcat seems to love their hidden variables) and you need 70 or higher to be on his good side. AND this score matters for a later quest and his ending.
Now another thing I found out while looking into this is that two dialogues, that affect this variable, just don't trigger if your gate renown is already too high. And - you guessed it - I missed out on BOTH of those.
I am pretty sure I am currently sitting at 60 or 65 respect with no way to raise it anymore because two important dialogues are missable. And I'm not replaying half of Act 4 to get those to trigger. I am also not messing with mods just for that. Sorry bro, I don't want this any more than you do, but it's the bad ending for you I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
