Not Your Weapon

Niel flinches back as a guttural hiss of panic escapes him out of instinct, fangs bared as he snaps his jaws in warning. His pupils narrow to slits before he bites down hard on Leon's arm and snarls. The taste of copper floods his mouth before he snaps out of it and quickly lets go. "F...Fuck...Leon I..." He looks at him in shock and spits the blood onto the pavement before looking ready to flee out of his own guilt and upset.

The bioweapon whines softly, trying to get the taste out of his mouth and trembling. He hadn't meant to strike. With a shudder, he turns and tries to get himself under control, wings threatening to rip free from hiding. He stares at Leon, eyes haunted as he steps back and shakes his head before bolting.

"Niel!" Leon shouts, stumbling forward to catch the man by his wrist. He mutters a curse under his breath when the man escapes him, and against his better judgement he takes of sprinting after him. It's a miracle he doesn't trip over his own feet and land face first on asphalt.

Niel darts along, trembling and panicked, tensing when he's slowed by a crowd. People stare at him as he whines and starts to shudder from deep anxiety. The tension is thick as he suppresses a hiss, unaware Leon's catching up. They aren't far from the apartment thankfully. A ripple is seen under Niel's shirt where his wings are fighting to stay hidden in his stressed state.

Wesker is met with a man a bit shorter than him, the smaller blonde's cyan hues locked on intently despite the situation. He wheezes a little and squirms, hands moving to grip at Wesker's wrists for leverage. It's clear he wants to speak but the situation is making it difficult. Some old Umbrella files are strewn around the space with data on former project testing. In fact, all the files are project related, but not on strictly the monstrous ones.

"I missed you too. Here drinking alone huh?" He teases and leans in to drag Leon into a hug. "Maybe I oughta join you?"

Leon grins as he returns the hug. "Yeah, join me!"

A wide smirk crosses Niel's face as he settles in next to Leon and pulls out a bottle of Kinky Blue, pouring some into a glass with lemonade. "Cheers then handsome!"

Leon chuckles as he drapes an arm around Niel and chugs his drink. “Cheers gorgeous!”

He follows suit, letting the liquor burn down his throat before nuzzling contently into Leon's side. "Fuck I missed you."

"I missed you too. Here drinking alone huh?" He teases and leans in to drag Leon into a hug. "Maybe I oughta join you?"

Leon grins as he returns the hug. "Yeah, join me!"

A wide smirk crosses Niel's face as he settles in next to Leon and pulls out a bottle of Kinky Blue, pouring some into a glass with lemonade. "Cheers then handsome!"

Niel sputters out a sound of surprise at the sight and blushes scarlet, his blue hues wide. He's quick to set the bottle of wine he's holding down so he doesn't accidentally drop it. "N-No just thought we could use a fun night in." Niel thickly swallows, eyes roving over the other's form appreciatively. If his wings were out, they'd be fluttering.

The smaller blonde nods and utters a wheeze as Leon tugs him in for a kiss, his eyes glowing brightly in surprise. He manages a nod as he watches Leon step away to go dry himself, face still a rosy hue. Quietly, he busies himself with getting a couple glasses and setting them down at the table before moving on to grabbing some plates and cutlery for dinner. A few different take out boxes are set down between the plates, Niel opting to put some bamboo chopsticks near his own. With a hum, he uncorks a bottle of strawberry rhubarb wine and pours them both a glass before taking a seat.

Niel blinks and utters a soft chuckle before setting his poncho and tactical harness over an empty chair. "I'd hardly call take out boxes fancy, but I guess the wine makes up for it. Local place makes this stuff." He taps the bottle before settling into his chair and smiling. "You want it to be a date night? I won't say no."

Nodding, Niel sips at his wine with a content hum and starts to make his plate, grabbing some fried rice and orange chicken. "Honestly, I'm happy around you regardless. Making a little date out of it just adds to the charm I suppose." With a smirk, he reaches over to give Leon's hand a soft squeeze.

Niel perks right up and chuckles before moving his hand to dig into his plate with a content sigh. "God, you have no idea how hungry I was. This hits the spot." He downs some more wine as he goes, occasionally stealing glances at the handsome man he's come to adore.

"Well good thing I stopped by then." He chuckles softly and reaches for an egg roll, nibbling at it and pausing as Leon peers back. He smiles a bit brighter before refilling his own wine glass. A couple in and he's starting to feel a bit warm. Shrugging, he tops off both their glasses and settles back into his chair. "Any plans for the evening handsome?"

Leon swigs back some of his wine, smirking at Niel. “Didn’t have any until you showed up, gorgeous,” he says with a wink. He always likes flirting with Niel, but the alcohol has made him especially bold.

"Oh? Well glad I got my ass over here then." He pauses at the compliment and feels his cheeks heat up before sipping more of his wine and clearing his throat. "Keep this up and I might turn the same damn color as the wine." He lets his eyes lock with Leon's and smiles before uttering a low croon.

The compliment has Niel preening a bit, his blush returning full force as his wings pop out from hiding and fluff up. The way he fans them out almost looks like a courting display. "You just look good, period. What am I going to do with you Leon?"

His wings give a giddy little flap before he crosses the space between them and nuzzles up to Leon. A content huff escapes his lips before he wraps his arms around the other man and rests. "Those are some dangerous words to be uttering Leon." Niel chuckles and starts to press soft kisses along Leon's throat, peppering them down to the taller blonde's collarbone. "It's not fair just how much you make me feel soft."

"So I've heard." He chuckles and nestles into the hold, savoring the way Leon feels against him. He presses his cheek to the other's shoulder and closes his eyes for a moment before resuming his soft kisses. "Excited hm? In what ways?" He grins and moves to kiss Leon on the lips, a soft breathy groan escaping him as his wings flutter and make a soft clattering noise. The different shades of blue shimmer in the low light.

"Maybe not but I do like to hear it. Or...I could just explore a bit and find out myself." He grins and slips a hand under Leon's shirt, nimble fingers tracing the outline of his abs. "God...you're too damn handsome and built for your own good Leon. Gonna make my damn knees buckle.." Niel leans in closer, until they're pressed firmly together.

Niel never lets his focus waver, eyes locked onto Leon as he nestles in and makes himself comfortable. "I can feel your heart racing. Poor Leon...all wound up huh?" He smirks and tugs the other into a kiss before inching them both to the couch. "Part of me wants to tuck right up against you and not let go, but I worry I'll be too clingy." He sighs and buries his face against Leon's neck, inhaling the scent of something distinctly him.

"I hope not. You...You don't know just how comforting you are to me, do you?" He takes a moment to try and hide his vulnerability, but it shows in those cyan hues. "Nobody's ever given me much of a chance to be anything other than a weapon, or something to poke and prod. You see me as something more, and for that, I owe you my whole world."

Niel leans into the kiss, feeling the warmth Leon gives off as soft lips brush against the flushed skin. The hug is like a weighted blanket around him, earning a soft sigh as he feels himself relax. "I...I'm starting to believe it. That I'm worth the adoration you give. It took a long time to come to grips with that...the idea someone would want me even despite what I am. God, I want to just hold you close to me and not let go."

Niel bristles. Shit, he's been heard. With a grumble to himself, the blonde slinks closer, trying to get a feel for who the stranger is. His eyes land on the gun at Luis' hip and he tenses. Great...an armed civilian. Well, at least he thinks he might be. He steps partly out of the shadows and faces Luis from across the courtyard, eyes trained on the other sharply. His hands move to his hips where his knives are concealed. The last thing he wants is a brawl this late, but he has yet to determine whether this man is friend or foe. "...You're out late..."

Niel watches Luis intently, a brow raising at the fact he doesn't seem to flee at the sight of him. He utters a tired huff and slowly moves his hands away from his weapons, letting them drop at his sides. Cyan hues gaze at the cigarette, nose wrinkling at the scent. "Ah, that's a dirty habit to have." There's no mockery in his tone, but Niel steps a bit closer, now illuminated under the dingy streetlamp. He folds his arms and watches rather tiredly. "It's a force of habit. Still...not the safest place for a man to be at this hour. You got a death wish?"

He raises a brow at the chuckle and blinks. Someone he knows? Niel isn't used to the feeling much. He hardly knows anyone with what he's been dealt. "You picked quite the spot to relax. There's things out here that go bump in the night...but judging by that weapon of yours, you're well aware." Niel is maybe about six feet away now, his pupils oddly shaped and the hint of fangs visible as he talks. He's unsure whether to try hiding them or not.

Niel listens, trying to make sense of the man before him. He finds a piece of a broken wall to lean against, mulling over things as he glances over. "...I know how that feels. Dealing with monsters...and the people who make them." His bitterness oozes out in his tone as he crosses his arms. Tired and used to keeping his distance. He bares his fangs in loathing for a moment before sighing. "I'm more surprised you didn't fire at me. I'm not exactly normal looking."

The blonde pauses as if in thought, opting to simply take a moment to let the air settle between them before finally giving a tired chuckle. "No, I'd advise you not to. I've fought too many bioweapons to be taken down by a few bullets. Don't see much else on you either." He sighs and runs a hand through his own hair in a self soothing gesture. "So...got a name? I'm Niel."

Niel's expression grows tired before glancing off. "Yeah...you could say that. I'm no better than them though." He crosses his arms and looks at the darkened clouds that pass the moon by, cyan eyes glowing. "Luis...I must admit I wonder why you'd pick a place as miserable as this to find comfort. You're the first soul I've ever seen come around this abandoned part of town so late..."

"...Maybe..." His eyes glint as he regards Luis. That name. Luis Serra. He growls low in his throat, fangs glinting. "Quiet indeed. No witnesses." He suddenly rushes forward, pulling Icarus and Eros from their sheathes and pins Luis hard to a brick wall behind the two of them, a snarl letting loose. "Don't think I don't know that name from files, Mr. Serra. You're a damn Umbrella rat!"

Niel's gaze remains piercing, teeth gritting as he keeps a hold of Luis. He doesn't move to cause harm, but makes it clear he's not letting go. Some tired part of him wants to believe this man isn't aligned with the people who made his life a living hell. "...Used to. You say you didn't know? Why the hell should I believe you? Thanks to people like you, I'm a godforsaken freak of nature..." His fangs glint under the hazy light of the street lamp, eyes burning bright in their sockets. Still, Luis doesn't look like he's lying and that gives the riled up blonde due pause. Slowly, his grip lightens, but he doesn't full drop his arms.

He's regarded quietly, Niel focused in on everything he has to say. He can feel the tension but there's hurt there too. Slowly, the blonde drops his hands and steps back, expression guarded but not as dark as before. "I'm not sure. I'm not you and can't claim to understand. I spent the entirety of my life up until a few years ago being passed from lab to lab like some plaything. An experiment. I don't know anything from before then...if I had family. None of that. If you claim to be better, then I suppose I have no choice but to take your word at face value." His knives are put back into place before he tiredly looks away. "...Part of me wants to hope you're not another monster..."

His wings give a giddy little flap before he crosses the space between them and nuzzles up to Leon. A content huff escapes his lips before he wraps his arms around the other man and rests. "Those are some dangerous words to be uttering Leon." Niel chuckles and starts to press soft kisses along Leon's throat, peppering them down to the taller blonde's collarbone. "It's not fair just how much you make me feel soft."

"So I've heard." He chuckles and nestles into the hold, savoring the way Leon feels against him. He presses his cheek to the other's shoulder and closes his eyes for a moment before resuming his soft kisses. "Excited hm? In what ways?" He grins and moves to kiss Leon on the lips, a soft breathy groan escaping him as his wings flutter and make a soft clattering noise. The different shades of blue shimmer in the low light.

"Maybe not but I do like to hear it. Or...I could just explore a bit and find out myself." He grins and slips a hand under Leon's shirt, nimble fingers tracing the outline of his abs. "God...you're too damn handsome and built for your own good Leon. Gonna make my damn knees buckle.." Niel leans in closer, until they're pressed firmly together.

Niel never lets his focus waver, eyes locked onto Leon as he nestles in and makes himself comfortable. "I can feel your heart racing. Poor Leon...all wound up huh?" He smirks and tugs the other into a kiss before inching them both to the couch. "Part of me wants to tuck right up against you and not let go, but I worry I'll be too clingy." He sighs and buries his face against Leon's neck, inhaling the scent of something distinctly him.

"I hope not. You...You don't know just how comforting you are to me, do you?" He takes a moment to try and hide his vulnerability, but it shows in those cyan hues. "Nobody's ever given me much of a chance to be anything other than a weapon, or something to poke and prod. You see me as something more, and for that, I owe you my whole world."

Niel bristles. Shit, he's been heard. With a grumble to himself, the blonde slinks closer, trying to get a feel for who the stranger is. His eyes land on the gun at Luis' hip and he tenses. Great...an armed civilian. Well, at least he thinks he might be. He steps partly out of the shadows and faces Luis from across the courtyard, eyes trained on the other sharply. His hands move to his hips where his knives are concealed. The last thing he wants is a brawl this late, but he has yet to determine whether this man is friend or foe. "...You're out late..."

Niel watches Luis intently, a brow raising at the fact he doesn't seem to flee at the sight of him. He utters a tired huff and slowly moves his hands away from his weapons, letting them drop at his sides. Cyan hues gaze at the cigarette, nose wrinkling at the scent. "Ah, that's a dirty habit to have." There's no mockery in his tone, but Niel steps a bit closer, now illuminated under the dingy streetlamp. He folds his arms and watches rather tiredly. "It's a force of habit. Still...not the safest place for a man to be at this hour. You got a death wish?"

He raises a brow at the chuckle and blinks. Someone he knows? Niel isn't used to the feeling much. He hardly knows anyone with what he's been dealt. "You picked quite the spot to relax. There's things out here that go bump in the night...but judging by that weapon of yours, you're well aware." Niel is maybe about six feet away now, his pupils oddly shaped and the hint of fangs visible as he talks. He's unsure whether to try hiding them or not.

Niel listens, trying to make sense of the man before him. He finds a piece of a broken wall to lean against, mulling over things as he glances over. "...I know how that feels. Dealing with monsters...and the people who make them." His bitterness oozes out in his tone as he crosses his arms. Tired and used to keeping his distance. He bares his fangs in loathing for a moment before sighing. "I'm more surprised you didn't fire at me. I'm not exactly normal looking."

The blonde pauses as if in thought, opting to simply take a moment to let the air settle between them before finally giving a tired chuckle. "No, I'd advise you not to. I've fought too many bioweapons to be taken down by a few bullets. Don't see much else on you either." He sighs and runs a hand through his own hair in a self soothing gesture. "So...got a name? I'm Niel."

Niel's expression grows tired before glancing off. "Yeah...you could say that. I'm no better than them though." He crosses his arms and looks at the darkened clouds that pass the moon by, cyan eyes glowing. "Luis...I must admit I wonder why you'd pick a place as miserable as this to find comfort. You're the first soul I've ever seen come around this abandoned part of town so late..."

Niel sputters out a sound of surprise at the sight and blushes scarlet, his blue hues wide. He's quick to set the bottle of wine he's holding down so he doesn't accidentally drop it. "N-No just thought we could use a fun night in." Niel thickly swallows, eyes roving over the other's form appreciatively. If his wings were out, they'd be fluttering.

The smaller blonde nods and utters a wheeze as Leon tugs him in for a kiss, his eyes glowing brightly in surprise. He manages a nod as he watches Leon step away to go dry himself, face still a rosy hue. Quietly, he busies himself with getting a couple glasses and setting them down at the table before moving on to grabbing some plates and cutlery for dinner. A few different take out boxes are set down between the plates, Niel opting to put some bamboo chopsticks near his own. With a hum, he uncorks a bottle of strawberry rhubarb wine and pours them both a glass before taking a seat.

Niel blinks and utters a soft chuckle before setting his poncho and tactical harness over an empty chair. "I'd hardly call take out boxes fancy, but I guess the wine makes up for it. Local place makes this stuff." He taps the bottle before settling into his chair and smiling. "You want it to be a date night? I won't say no."

Nodding, Niel sips at his wine with a content hum and starts to make his plate, grabbing some fried rice and orange chicken. "Honestly, I'm happy around you regardless. Making a little date out of it just adds to the charm I suppose." With a smirk, he reaches over to give Leon's hand a soft squeeze.

Niel perks right up and chuckles before moving his hand to dig into his plate with a content sigh. "God, you have no idea how hungry I was. This hits the spot." He downs some more wine as he goes, occasionally stealing glances at the handsome man he's come to adore.

"Well good thing I stopped by then." He chuckles softly and reaches for an egg roll, nibbling at it and pausing as Leon peers back. He smiles a bit brighter before refilling his own wine glass. A couple in and he's starting to feel a bit warm. Shrugging, he tops off both their glasses and settles back into his chair. "Any plans for the evening handsome?"

Leon swigs back some of his wine, smirking at Niel. “Didn’t have any until you showed up, gorgeous,” he says with a wink. He always likes flirting with Niel, but the alcohol has made him especially bold.

"Oh? Well glad I got my ass over here then." He pauses at the compliment and feels his cheeks heat up before sipping more of his wine and clearing his throat. "Keep this up and I might turn the same damn color as the wine." He lets his eyes lock with Leon's and smiles before uttering a low croon.

The compliment has Niel preening a bit, his blush returning full force as his wings pop out from hiding and fluff up. The way he fans them out almost looks like a courting display. "You just look good, period. What am I going to do with you Leon?"
