Hi! I'm Fract (they/them), I'm a 22-y-o Bleach fan. I struggle getting stuff done in general so updates (on anything, really) may not be regular and if I go missing for months it's probably normal, I just have periods like that. That aside, I make art and write, although right now I'm working on a series and it's taking ages so don't expect chapters for that to come out any time soon. I may occasionally post shorter pieces of writing though, or discuss my worldbuilding and stuff like that. I reblog whatever I like, but have a couple of tags that have my name in them, so you can follow just those instead of following my blog if they interest you.

(Note: I changed this tag recently from 'flight rising' to 'fract flight rising' to reflect the fact that most of what I use this tag for is to host images I make for myself and other users on the site - i.e., I don't make these posts with the intention of spreading them around. hi everyone, this thing is fundraising grocery money again this week, to pay for food, supplies, and utilities, for our weekly shop on the 6th july, which will come to around £100. it's really grateful for the help its had, especially for the names that come up repeatedly in its fundraising efforts.
this thing is a disabled plural transfem, that organises meetups for transfems in the north of england. we are autistic, have unmedicated adhd, and we're just about keeping things together.
Looks like you missed my self-reblog haha. Yeah, I'm fine, turns out apparently sometimes waste water can smell like gas?? So we actually probably have a plumbing problem. They tested everything and didn't detect any gas at all
Sorry for the scare!!! On my end it was just really fun lol. We sat outside the house for like an hour or two while one of the two dudes in charge of answering calls of this kind came over with a couple of firemen haha.
...Although, now that I think about it, even if something bad had happened I'd probably still be laughing about it, so to be fair, yeah, my tone is not necessarily a reliable way to tell whether things are okay :')

I’ve been thinking a lot about this tag lately, which encompasses so much context in three little words.
You’re exactly right @magicmumu2. I’ve been fascinated in the way that desirable femininity has been portrayed in old Hollywood and how it was systemically withheld from fat black women. Despite emancipation being several decades before the 1930s, women that looked like me were erased of everything except our servitude. The closest it gets would be Lena Horne or Mae West but they’re both only checking half the box and in the lightest way (litcherally), at that. 80-90 years ago, I would only get to depict a maid, if the film wanted financial backing and wider distribution, at least. On occasion today, fat black women are portrayed as classic, glamorous beauties.
Needless to say, I’ve taken my image into my own hands. No mammies here.
