Fract (they/them), 24 y-o. Main blog, reblogging a lot of random stuff (may contain nsfw!). Original posts are few and far between rn. Bleach runs in my blood by now but currently obsessed with TMA and trying to make it last
[Personal blog of @makitovalydia and @bleach-fanart-events]
Hi! I'm Fract (they/them), I'm a 22-y-o Bleach fan. I struggle getting stuff done in general so updates (on anything, really) may not be regular and if I go missing for months it's probably normal, I just have periods like that. That aside, I make art and write, although right now I'm working on a series and it's taking ages so don't expect chapters for that to come out any time soon. I may occasionally post shorter pieces of writing though, or discuss my worldbuilding and stuff like that. I reblog whatever I like, but have a couple of tags that have my name in them, so you can follow just those instead of following my blog if they interest you.
[2025] - No particular DNI, but I block very liberally. Minors, I don't care if you're here, just be aware that some of the people I reblog from have minors as DNI and that I cannot speak for them. Also know that I usually don't tag NSFW, whatever age you are.
Tag and Pages Guide
Featured Reblogs (#featured) -> Posts I particularly like if you don't want to wade through all my reblogs
Bleach (#bleach) -> Anything Bleach-related should be here
My Art (#fract art) -> Art made by me
Thoughts (#fract thoughts) -> Reflective posts that tend to be on the longer side. May be reblogs or original posts
Writing-Related Stuff (#fract writing) -> General tag for anything related to writing fiction (and sometimes reading)
Writing Thoughts (#writing thoughts) -> Me sharing moments of my writing journey
Fic Thoughts (#fic thoughts) -> Me sharing thoughts about fanfics I'm reading or reblogs about fanfiction in general
My Fics (#fract fics) -> Find my writing here
(22/11/2025 - For some reason my TMA song "I'm Here When You're Here All Alone" hasn't been showing up on my blog nor in general tags? Not sure why, but here it is, because I keep having to look for the post through other means: [link])
Lydia (OC) (#makitova lydia) -> Posts about my OC Lydia. Dw if you don't know who that is, I haven't written enough of her story yet
Personal Stuff (#fract personal) -> Me reblogging things I relate to or rambling about my life
Body Horror (#gore) -> Started tagging this so as to make it easier to avoid, but if you're looking for it, here it is. May be very, or be downright realistic mutilation or actual photos at times - I don't tag them differently because I didn't want to have to wonder whether every single post was disturbing enough to deserve it (just blood on its own isn't included though)
Resources (#fract resources) -> Things that are useful - writing tips, masterposts, tutorials, external links such as the online shops of artists, links to places to donate to charities or people in need of monetary help, useful information to know, etc.
Writing Resources (#writing resources) -> Writing tips etc.
Reading List (#my reading list) -> More for me than anyone. Works or longer posts I'd like to read or have read. Exists in part because I'd rather not put something I haven't read in 'featured', but also don't want to lose them, and they likely deserve attention too, so. Go there if you're looking for fics to read or longer things in general that aren't mine
Flight Rising Stuff (#fract flight rising) -> Mostly contains buttons I make for fluffmoth's Free Tiny Identity Buttons thread, which I currently host on here, and occasionally some other stuff too
(Note: I changed this tag recently from 'flight rising' to 'fract flight rising' to reflect the fact that most of what I use this tag for is to host images I make for myself and other users on the site - i.e., I don't make these posts with the intention of spreading them around. Just wanted to clarify that this was my own idea so people wouldn't think FR staff forced me to take the posts down or something, I dunno)
I also tend to tag fandom stuff with tags such as bleach, jjk, one piece, good omens, marvel (those are the main ones currently). And Bleach characters can have their own tags, so you can type in their first name for any fanart and the like that I've reblogged that feature them (except Harribel - she'll probably be under 'Harribel', not 'Tier' or 'Tia' - and Chad, who's under 'Chad').

it was such a heavy risk to take in my own art depicting bodies like mine because of the harassment and transphobia hurled at me, but at the same time...it is very rewarding to see transmascs tell me that they feel more comfortable because of my artand seeing other boys like me is healing
(part of me wonders if I have any heavy influence in this)
thinking about a lake i hiked to last year that was so small and cute. i jumped in to cool off and swam out to the middle, then looked down and saw trunks of entire dead trees dozens of feet below me and this is how i learned this particular lake is 100ft deep despite looking like a pond
my immediate first thoughts were 1) damn im glad im a strong swimmer because this is a lake that eats people who can't swim and 2) i thought i had gotten past my fear of open water until right now

Have you seen the beauty of the open ocean? I have.
I have almost drowned at least three times. Once in a pool in New Orleans, one in Lake Michigan, and once in the ocean. And still I love nothing more than the sea at night. The way it extends in all directions in complete darkness. There is no difference between the sea and the sky like that. The stars are at once so high above and yet sunken so deep. There is nothing but you, whatever puny vessel you sail upon, and the endless expanse extending forever away from you. And only there have I seen true beauty.
You will never guess where I answer this from:)
I want to tell you something more. I want to tell you about waves. Most people think they know waves, they know seasickness.
Out in the open ocean, they are rolling hills. The weight of a fully loaded cargo freighter is still so little next to the momentum of so much water, built up over the entire width of the Atlantic - not to even mention the Pacific.
It’s not even nausea that gets you first, when the weather gets even a little above calm out there. It’s cold sweats, aches all over and dizziness, like you’re running a fever, because what is happening to you is no longer a trick of your disorientated inner ear - it is your body going through rapid and constant pressure changes from the rhythmically inverting false gravity of the floor under your feet going up and down and up and down with the force to make your organs feel the successive compression and expansion like a grip. Oh, you’ll get nauseated, yes, your stomach will try to empty in panic, but it’s completely different than motion sickness. Every part of you hurts under the strain. Your circulatory system fails to keep everything properly irrigated. Your body feels like it is shutting down. Five long seconds of feeling crushed by the air, five long seconds of vertigo as you drop though your feet never left the deck, repeat.
It’s not just about how far you are from land, how small next to the expanse of water. It’s also about how strong it is, and how truly easily even its mildly bad moods breaks the human body.
I Hope this actually reaches the German speaking Part of the fandom lolol
But I was thinking about S1 Jonmartin (specifically martin) and the use of the formal 'you' (/"Siezen")
Little Translation for the non-German Speakers :)
Martin: uh sorry If I'm a bother.. I brought you (formal) a cup of Tea! I uhm.. didn't quite know what Kind you (formal) prefered so I Just picked black tea.. I Hope That's alright.. I Probably should have asked you (formal) beforehan-
Jon: You (informal) can Stop it with the formalities, Martin.
I miss when ads were a single click and then they’re gone. Now every ad has a minimum of three phases where you watch a video, exit the still frame of fake gameplay, and then exit the app download. That doesn’t even touch on the ones that forcibly take you to another app after opening a tab in safari without you ever touching the screen.
I hate advertising. I hate that you can’t do anything without companies jumping down your throat with mostly bullshit ads. I hate that billboards exist. I hate that every company unanimously decided to make their ads longer and longer. I hate that ad blockers try to charge you money and there are in app purchases to remove ads. I hate that my attention has become commodified. I hate that there’s nothing I can do about it.

The 13th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 13th August 2026.
It’s short and easy, for most participants it takes 5 minutes or less.
After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.
If you think you might have friends and followers who’d be interested, please do reblog this blog post, and share the survey URL by email or at AFK social groups or on other social networks. Every share is extremely helpful!
Survey URL: https://survey.gendercensus.com
The survey is open to anyone anywhere who speaks English and feels that the gender binary doesn’t fully describe their experience of themselves and their gender(s) or lack thereof.
Thank you so much!
[ Link to survey ]
PS: You can see some regularly-updated statistics about incoming data here, with lots of demography and graphs to peruse!
It's not "hostile" to binary trans people. Binary trans people are just not the target group. They are intentionally not represented at all. It's not a study about binary people.
This is the very first thing on the first page of the survey:
Who can participate?
This survey intends to collect information from everyone who ISN'T adequately described by the "gender binary".
According to the binary model of gender, everyone fits tidily into just one of these categories:
● Woman/girl - all the time, solely, and completely
↳ (may be cisgender, transgender, intersex, etc. for the purposes of this survey)
● Man/boy - all the time, solely, and completely
↳ (may be cisgender, transgender, intersex, etc. for the purposes of this survey)
Anyone who doesn't feel like they fit into one of these two boxes is invited to participate.
Obviously you are allowed to vent on your own blog, and I didn't realise you didn't want responses that might clarify/clear up confusion and mistakes - sorry about that!
Seems like you should call it something else then like the non binary survey
I've got a thing in the FAQ that kind of relates to this a bit:
I have to avoid words like “binary” and “nonbinary” in the criteria for who is invited to take part, in order to be fully inclusive and avoid bias.
Basically, there are a lot of people who are failed by the binary model of gender, who don't identify as nonbinary. And if you're studying how often people use a particular word, you can't really include that word in the marketing, because it biases the results.
Like, yes, we know that "nonbinary" is a word that a lot of people use to describe themselves, and the reason that data is in any way reliable is because it doesn't call itself "the nonbinary survey". Right?
Imagine:
Make a survey called the nonbinary survey
Have no criteria
Ask participants if they're nonbinary
100% of participants say they're nonbinary because they took part because it was called "the nonbinary survey" and they identify with that
Researcher declares all humans nonbinary
That wouldn't be very science 🧐
Anyway, I do try very hard to lean heavy on the not-binary part in promotional stuff, just because I don't want to waste anyone's time. But I have to do that very carefully because I don't want to bias the results.
Like the image with the boxes with the Mars and Venus symbols on, right? It doesn't say "male" and "female", it implies it. And It refers to the gender binary in simplified ways so that people who aren't familiar with queer theory will understand and jump in. But at the same time, a binary trans woman, for example, would be like, "well I do fit into that Venus box really. So, this is probably not for me." And if she doesn't say that, she is probably invited into the sample anyway!
And this text:
The survey is open to [...] feels that the gender binary doesn’t fully describe their experience of themselves and their gender(s) or lack thereof.
Again, very carefully written to imply "not binary trans people" without saying it outright, because there will always be people in the grey area who do belong in the sample.
