Vesna is a Gemini, as well, but she was born in a different hemisphere. I REALLY LOVE playing with that sort of twin juxtaposition and a Winter Gemini compared to a Spring Gemini

"You know," She started out quietly, a sort of reverence for the dawn that she carried. The morning was for whispers, a respect for the stillness it carried with it.

Asra rolled over, bringing his attention to where his partner lounged, gazing out through the frosted window.

He hummed, softly. He was listening.

"There's never been snow before, for my birth."

She stopped, her lips quirking up and to the side.

The warmth from under the blankets was released as he pushed up self up, the faint chill in the air raising goosebumps on the arm he was propped up with. The blankets pooled around his waist.

"Well, the season. Where I'm from- It was spring when I was born." She flashed him a tender look, warm amber eyes settling on him for a moment before returning to watched the faint flurry of snow.

How...amazing, to be born and to travel from somewhere so far away the seasons no longer matched the constellations.

"I can't wait for you to see it, Asra," She left her vigil window, crawling onto the bed and across his lap. His breath caught in his chest.

"We'd make quite a lovely pair in a couple of flower crowns, wouldn't we?"

He loved her.

Vesna knew her teacher was unpredictable. He was like the wind, traveling far and wide, for days, weeks (and occassionally, months) at a time. It was in his nature, she couldn't stop him.

Though, she too wished with him she could roam.

He had left this time as the air began to chill, and as the days passed, Vesna couldn't help the worry that began to gnaw at her gut.

So, she busied herself with their shop, ensuring that it was well prepped for the coming winter.

Cabinets, dusted. Windows, sealed and insulated. Bedding, washed. Potion jars, moved away from areas prone to drafts. Stove salamander, stocked with a tasty supply of woodchips.

She had just plopped onto a floor pillow, a cup of lemongrass and Hibiscus tea steaming a citrusy aroma into her face, when she heard the creak of the door open, and felt the wards give off a welcoming pulse.

Asra was home!

The cup was left aside to grow cold as she sprinted to greet her master.

"Asra! Welcome home!"

He greeted her with a charming boyish smile, dimpling his cheeks, and she gave pause, eyeing him playfully.

"And what's with that look?"

Asra placed his hat in the countertop, and reached into his bag.

Vesna teetered forward excitedly--she liked gifts! Who didn't? And the thought of Asra remembering her even as he was so far away, made her heart skip beat.

She could smell the perfume of the flowers before she saw them, sweet and rich--her favorite.

A crown of honeysuckles, woven together intricately, as to not squish the flowers.

Falling silent, she did not object as Asra placed the crown on her head, careful not to tangle her curls.

His warm fingers traced a ringlet, then trailed down her temple, to her cheek, cupping it.

She didn't know she was crying until his thumbed brushed away a tear.

Earth and Sky, she hoped he didn't think she hated his gift so much she would shed tears.

"Its beautiful, Asra. I -" Her lip wobbled, and her voice was thin.

She didn't even know WHY she was crying, but she folded into his arms and pushed her head into his chest, sobbed out her thanks.
