halfway point for my video, working on easing in and other fxs in after fxs
Final design for the second poster, I decided to ditch the idea of having two locations, split stats and just stick to one, as it suits my first poster better and provides a balance it. I decided to make the locations font size and splits size to match the original so the poster has good harmony

I like the animation showing a sliding effect, across the work. I also like the monochrome colour effects and how the type if moving across from the work.
Once I fix me, he's gonna miss me...
I find this animation interesting, and I like how the words appear to be done by a type writer, I also like the monotone color scheme and the words dropping. I also like the loop in this video, which helps me think of ways I could make my own video loop.

final design before 1 on 1 icheckup week 11
moved around the text at the bottom to create more of a slant
decided to get rid of pattern in yellow text.
poster 2
Rough idea for the 2nd poster as the original poster didnt match as a set. I dont mind the idea for the poster, though I feel like this can be executed much better. I do not like the fonts and the sideway texts.

INTRO
Kia ora, my name is Morgan Foster, I am a first-year university student currently studying at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT). I am actively studying a bachelor's degree in Communications and Industrial Design with my end goal of becoming an inspiring graphic and art designer. In this role, I aim to help society by bringing people closer while also helping companies with advertisements. Art has always been an interest of mine since I was a child. Actively drawing \ from kindergarten until college. Eventually, I got the hang of painting and working on art projects in my final years of college. Working on my NCEA art boards helped me sculpt my craft. In visual art, I obtained both excellence and merit marks. Before university began, I acknowledged that I wanted to further pursue art, but also saw the power in text in artists Such as Nike Hare who printed text to convey a message in her work. I have always loved art, though, in this rapidly advancing age, I believe design offers more opportunities and would be a better idea to turn to a more digital route. Using my artistic ability and drive to learn another aspect of art to expand my artistic ability.
"The Internet Paintings" from Experimental Jeset, uses repetition in its work, using 'N' repeated create a very intriguing design that caught my eye when looking at posters. I also like how both posters are only slightly changed, only difference being the colour between the two.
Robert Brownjohn.
I like the use of Robert Brownjohn's use of repetition in this work as it creates a feeling of 'craziness' as it is a visual pun on the word 'dance' as it shows a 'dance party' between the words being repeated either in order or statically throughout the poster.
The Helvetica documentary film dives into the typeface, 'Helvetica' and discusses the global impact of the iconic typeface. Talking about its Swiss origins to its presence in our modern culture, the documentary explores Helvetica's impact on design, corporate identity and its global communication. Giving us the viewer a journey into the world of typography and celebrating simplicity.
This is another one of my posters I have decided to finalise. I have decided that I would like to keep the more minimal look of my poster. Only change that has been made is in the yellow text I have decided to make a halftone that gradually gets more white. This subtle detail I think adds a lot to the poster, and I am quite happy with it.

"LOCATION"This is one of the two posters I have decided to add further detail with. I have changed the spacing between lettering and enlarged the background fonts to eliminate negative space, creating a more fuller poster. I have fixed the curving on the shoe print to look more appealing to the eye.
“SPLITS”. This poster is from my last 8km run and shows my pace from each kilometer and also shows the elevation. For the “SPLITS” text I used the font ‘Roc Grotesk Wide Bold’ while for the rest of the poster I use ‘Roc Grotesk Bold’, I liked the how the title looked more stretched out as the other text. My stats I used for this was recorded from my Nike Run Club app which I use on my runs. I believe the center of my poster is very bland, I like the upside down text used to eliminate the negative space as I think it adds alot to the poster, though I also like the “North island, Whangaparāoa, Big Manly” I believe this poster definitely lacks as it is quite boring in the center. If I were to retry this design I would think of maybe change some of the lines into different colours, and if it is still boring, maybe warping the words to make it more interesting to look at.
