No, he is almost never on furniture. 

I like to have him on the floor for two reasons.  In many ways, he is motivated like a young boy.  I feel it is important to trigger this young boy motivation as much as possible without creating a daddy/child relationship.  Since young boys usually sit on the floor, so does he. 

I also like him on the floor to remind him of his inferiority and my superiority.

While I don’t usually tell him where on the floor to sit, he usually wants to be close to me so he can hold my feet or hug my leg. Often I have to tell him to sit elsewhere if i don’t want to be touched.

While I do not require him to crawl like an animal, I find it interesting that he seems to naturally do so when he is seated on the floor and has to move around.
