You are the missing piece of me
But (even if you are incomplete)
I know that I am not the missing piece of you
Tron (1982) dir. Steven Lisberger
And by "thinking" he means they'll be vacuuming up things created by humans and remixing them into slop.
55 years ago, the future looked like this: Ferrari 512 S Modulo, 1970. Designed at Pininfarina by Paulo Martin as a futuristic styling exercise and research vehicle that abandoned traditional styling and construction techniques in favour of futuristic ideas. The Modulo was based on a Ferrari 512S chassis and running gear and featured a mid-mounted 550hp quad-cam 5-litre V12 engine.

Wow, a computer that does literally tens of things with a green OR amber monitor for ONLY $1995? What madness is this?

This was a phone. That human beings were supposed hold up to their face and talk into, even though it's obviously designed for natives of the Planet Glornax.
More pics of concept art for one of the (many) cancelled Star Trek 4's, showing the Enterprise-A's bridge. This is likely the closest we'll get to seeing her.

As near as I can tell, this is a backstage vantage point, so it's an angle you didn't often see.

I decided to start a series of graphic design posters for TOS episodes in “if those were films” style also reflecting the mood or genre of the episode. I will try to make as many as possible/to almost every episode of TOS, but I’ll skip the episodes I hate (sorry, but no Spock’s Brain poster).
First one (because I am rewatching the series in a production order), Where No Man Has Gone Before — science fiction drama.
Below is the dismissed/first version, which I was told is looking too much like a poster to Marvel film (which isn’t exactly saying drama) + my thought process.
The Only Khan Audio Drama We Need
A few weeks ago I had a dream that there was a 4th season of Star Trek: Picard where Khan, played by George Takei, is trying to kill Old Man Picard because he's in love with him, and also Picard is the Pope for some reason.
I figure it would make a much better Khan audio drama than that thing we're getting. It could star Brent Spiner's Patrick Stewart impression as Pope Jean Luc I, and George Takei as Khan.

The Miracle Kitchen of the Future - RCA-Whirlpool (1959)
Honestly I'd be happy to have that amount of counter space in my own much less-advanced Kitchen of Today.
