Hakkai x Reader.
"Finally.."
Summary: In this story, Y/n (she/her) is childhood friends with Mitsuya(Taka). They often hang out together and draw dress sketches. Y/n would just adore both of his little sisters cause she's only child after all.
"Ahh Mana-chan ishh shoo cuutteee( ´∀`)." "hehehe, " Y/n chuckles as she hugs her and carries her around at the playground.
Mitsuya was smiling from a far as he saw that one kid was getting beaten up. "You're going too far." Taka holds his hand (Hakkai) "Yoo whats happening?" Y/n walks up to them with Mana on her back. (Mitsuyas youngest sister) "Come with me." Taka smiles at Hakkai.
After a while..
"Oi, why are you here?" Taka looks at Y/n. "Eh? you said 'come with me' tho. " She imitates his voice. "I didn't tell you. I told him! " Taka scoffs. He dont really mind, but they're just like that, yk. "You two seem so close.." Kai mutters as he eats his food. "Ahh dont mind her. She's just like that." Taka smiles bit. "Hey! what do you mean 'shesh jush like that' .." She imitates his voice again. "hehehehe," Mana chuckles bit. "Ehhh, ish thish cutie laughin at sister?ヽ(o´3`o)ﾉ" Y/n kisses all over her face.
"... Got any parents?" Hakkai stares at Mitsuya. "Just mom. she works late, so i look after these two." Taka chuckles bit as he stares at Y/n.
"Two? she's not your sibling?" Hakkai looks at Y/n. "Huh? ahh. She's just my friend." Taka smiles. "Second!!" Luna holds out her bowl(Mitsuyas oldest little sister)."Oh? You ate that up fast." He gives her bowl back as he fills it again. "Ahh.. so what's your name? Im Y/n!!" She smiles brightly as she stretches her hand out to greet Hakkai. "Ah..." Hakkai freezes. "Yo let him eat in peace Y/n!" Taka furrows bit. "Ah mannn, why are you being so quiet, hmmm???" She sits beside him. "ah your that shy type eh" She smirks and stares at him like an old pervy man.

Well, their childhood went like that. After they get to know each other, he stopped being shy around her.
-Present time.
"Oh, Y/n!" Hakkai called her out as he walked out of his school. "Yo!" She turned to him. "Were you waiting for me?", "Yahh, i was about to go to Takas school. Do you wanna come with me?" She asks. "Eh, sorry, but i promised Yuzuha to take her to bowling today." He awkwardly looks down at her. "Sibling date it is then huh." She smiles bit. "Alrightyy, I'll just go alone then.", "Wait actually. Do you wanna come together?" He start walking with her. "Ahh, i would love to, but i promised something to Taka,So later, i guess." She looks up at him. " but..WAIT -" She looks up at him?? "When THE HECK did you grow up this tall??", "H-Huuuh??" He confusedly looks at her. "I've been taller than you since we met??", "Nahhh i was taller than you, and i would pat your head everytime when we meet." She shakes her head. "Did you hit your head or smt? i was definitely taller." "Nahh, i was taller." ,"Hell nuh, i was." In the end, they were the same height, but they always bring this up and argue about it. "Aniwaays im going this way. See ya later!." She walks off to the opposite direction. "Aigh.. bye.." Something seems off. He doesn't know why, but something about her is getting oddly off lately. So, after a few days, he went to see Taka and talked it out.
When he knocked on the door. "Come in, it's open," Taka shouts out. "Heyy Taka-chann," Hakkai smiles cheekily. "Hey.. so wassup?" He gets off of his sewing matchine. Seems like he was working on something. "Did i interrupt you?" Hakkai asks. "Nahh, not at all. so? what did you want to talk about?" Taka raises his eyebrow. "So the thing is.. i think something is wrong with me or Y/n!" He seriously looks at him. "Y/n? What about her?" He tilts his head. "Whenever she shes around me, my heart beat starts to increase, and she looks so bright than other people. Whenever she smiles, my heart beates soo fast that i couldn't even breathe sometimes.", " "uh.." Taka stares at him. "Right? It's so strange.. like i can't even look at her in the face sometimes." He seriously explained it. "Oh my.. pff-" Taka loos away, trying not to laugh. "Hey, im being dead serious here. Dont laugh!" Hakkai furrows bit. "Ah, sorry , sorry. ahemm.." He clears his throat. "I figured it out." Taka looks at him. "So?", "Youre in love with Y/n," Taka says. "It's alright. There's nothing wrong with Y/n or you." He smiles bit. "Huh????? Love?? Me?? With herr??" Hakkai stands up surprisedly. "Yuh, so dont worry, ur not sick or anything. That's a natural reaction when you see your crush at your age." Taka pats his shoulder. "Well, i can't blame you, tho. Y/n is a good girl. You two will be a good couple." By saying that, he walked him out. "So think about it carefully and decide what to do. Then ima go back. i have something to finish."

Hakkai was walking back home. 'eehh? im in love with her??... couple..? nahh impossible.' He was draining in his thoughts. "Yo.. Yo.. Yooooo!" Y/n slapped his back. "I've been calling you mann tf is you thinking?" Y/n looks up at him. "Oh, i didn't notice you were here." He looks at her but then looks away. Avoiding eye contact cause of previous conversation with Taka. "So what's up? is something bothering you?", "Uhh nahh im just.. thinking.." "About what?" She keeps staring at him. "Raghhh man, i dunno anymore. Let's just go." He scoffs off. "Heeyy wait up!" She chases him. "oh, wait - where did you come from? aniway its kinda late." He looks at her. "Uhh.. that.. oh, look, SWINGGG!!" She starts running to the playground and sits on the swing. "So?" 'Is she avoiding my question?' He thinks as he sits beside her. "Actually.. i have something to tell you." She seriously looks at him. "What?" This feels off. "Im.. moving out." His eyes widened bit. "Oh... i mean, it can't be that bad. We can still-" , "No. It's so.. soo for away. I got accepted to the high school that i applied to. And it's.. next month. Im studying abroad and continuing to graduate from university there." He surprisedly stares at her. "..."
"U- Well, congratulations, man.. It's a good thing right", "...", "why are you making that face?" He awkwardly looks away, didn't know how to react to that. "uhm yeah well your right. Thanks.." She looks somehow disappointed. "We'll do a goodbye party before you go. alright?" Kai smiles bit. "Aigh.." She gets up staring at the sky. "Anyways, let's go. It's getting late." After this awkward ass conversation, he walked her home. Walk to her house together was dead silent.

'aaaaahhhh man, what am i supposed to do..' He thinks as he lays on his bed after a hot shower. "she looked so sad.. but it's a good thing for her, right? like.. her future is glowing.. but why do i feel this way? I should be happy for her... but somehow, i want her to stay..." He closes his eyes and grabs his chest as if it's aching.

Ever since that day, hakkai couldn't face her at all, so he avoided her as much as he could, but today, Y/n was literally chasing him to talk to him. "Staay awayy," Hakkai shouts. "Hell nah. Cooommmee heeereee"
While hes running down street, he did an sudden turn,But he heard a loud thud on the ground. "What the- hey are you okay?" He walks back to her concerned. "Aha! i got you!" She grips on his hand. "... mann dont scare me like that." He was about to get up, but she pulled him back down. "Why are you ignoring me?" She looks into his eyes. "Uh huh? what are you talking about. I didn't ignore you. " He tried to play it safe. "You did." She looked at him seriously. As he looked around avoiding eye contact, he noticed a little blood on her knee. "Man, you're bleeding!" He touches her knee gently. "Can you get up? Let's go and patch that up!" He sits in front of her, telling her to get on his back. "Only if you answer my question." She hums. "Okay, I'll answer on the way, so hurry. That looks painful." She sighs as she slowly gets on his back.
"Geez, you should be more careful. what if you hurt yourself even more? and leave a big scar?" He was basically scolding her. "Who cares if it leaves a scar?" She says. "I do. I care about you." He gets a little embarrassed saying that. "Ugh, just be careful." He scoffs softly. "You still didn't answer my question. Why did you ignore me this whole week?" He didn't answer but but he placed her down on the bench. "I'll bring some med. Wait here." He softly says as he walks away. After a few minutes, he comes back with a little bag in his hand. He bends down to clean and patch her knee. "I didn't ignore you... sorry. " He started to talk while cleaning. "I feel like ima bad person." He patches her knee. "When you told me that your gonna leave soon.. the first thought that came into my mind was not letting you go. It's just so sudden, and i dont want you to leave... please.." He looked down as his tear rolled down his cheeks, still holding her knee. "im so sorry. I know im being selfish, but that's really how i feel right now. and it's pissing me off so much. I should be happy for you but.." His grip on her knee tightened. She sighs as she wipes his tears away, cupping his cheeks, making him look up at herself. "dont cry. It's not your fault.. bet Mitsuy-" , " You dont understand why im feeling this way.. I like you. Y/n, that's why." Tears still streaming down his cheeks. Y/n didn't move an inch she just blankly stared into his eyes. "Ugh.." He pulled away and stood up. "Im sorry. I kinda pushed you. Dont mind the last part.." he looks at her knee. "Can you walk..?" He wipes his face. "Hakkai." She stands up. "Let's go out.", "hu-...??" He dramaticly looks at her surprised. "Wha- what did you just say?", "Go out with me. be my boyfriend, be my wife. You heard me." She boldly says. "H-hell nah bro wha-" He can't believe it. "No?" She disappointedly tilts her head. "NO! no no no thats not what I meant to say... uhh, im just a bit surprised." He thinks for a moment. "So that means u feel the same the way i do?"
"Yes. It's been a while ever since i started liking you." She said that without any problem. "Ugh, don play w me that.." He looks away, scratching his neck. "Hm? Im not playing yk?" She smiles.

Ever since that day, they officially started dating. Their relationship was very cute even tho all he did was follow her around. They often go on a walk and eat ice cream, when hes brave enough, hed hold her hand.

Time flies by.. her time is coming. Hakkai gets more anxious every day.
"Taka-chan, what do i? She's going to leave soon.. i dont think i can handle it." He whines bit. "It's not like she's gonna cut all their contacts with you completely. You can still text and call each other." Taka calmly says while sewing smt. "Still.." He sighs. "You only need to wait for a few years patiently." , "Right.." He stares at the ceiling. "And Y/n is coming over, btw. She said she'll help me with this dress." Hakkais eyes perked up in excitement. "Really?" All that depressed thoughts disappeared after hearing her name. (Tok, tok, tok, tok) "I'll get the door." Hakkai says as he jumps up and opens it.
How did they know its Y/n from just knocking? Its because they have like a code thing between them, thats why he knew it instantly. "Y/nn," Hakkai smiles as he gets inside with her. "You were here?" She smiles back as she sits down. "Ahh man, sorry, i was kinda late cause i started packing my things." She says. "Oh really? month passes so fast, huh?" Taka smiles bit. But for Hakkai, it's a disaster, so he just sat here quietly. "Ah yeah, aniway.. Let's see what we have heere.." She looks at Takas dress sketch, and they started discussing it.

The main reason why she's going abroad is because she's a very talented young fashion designer. And few of her sketches catched some attentions from famous universities. That's how she got the invitation. The more time passes , the busier she gets. Hakkai couldn't get to see her face even tho the time was running out. Eventually, that time came, but they still couldn't get to spend quality time together. On the last day of this country, she wanted to spend her last time with Hakkai cause she had already met Taka yesterday. She dialed his number and called it.
beep, beep, beep.
He's not picking up his phone. So she called again, but he still didn't pick it up. So she called Taka but his phone was also turned off. She texted Hakkai. "Hey, why aren't you picking up? Im going to the playground first. So call me back, okay?" After sending that, she went to that playground they met for the first time.

Beep, beep, beep.
It's already been 3 hours. He's still not there. They were supposed to meet there at 7 pm. But now its 10pm already. She called him over and over again. "... he knows that im going tomorrow early in the morning.. right..?" She murmured to herself still calling him. It was getting more and more darker once when she realized the sky was completely dark. Yet he still didn't answer. But she waited anyway.
Beep, beep, beep.
She sighs as she gets up. Cause it's already 5am.. It's time for her to go now. When she walked into her house, her mother noticed her. "Oh my? What happened to your face?!" She walked up to her to take a good look. Y/ns face was too swollen from crying all night. Her mother pulled her into a tight hug."It will be okay, my darling." She gently pats her back. "Now go change and eat something. Were gonna go."

A few hours ago.
'Ah, today is the day.' Hakkai thoughs as he get out of his shower, wearing his clothes on. When he got ready to go, he checked himself up in front of a mirror one last time. 'mhn! i saved up enough money. First of all, i need to buy a flower nicely packed. Second of all, i want to buy her a cute necklace since Taka-chan recommended it. And lastly.. i wanna see her.. I'll hug her as tight as i can and not let go until it's her time to go.' He thinks as he walks out of his house early in the morning to do those tasks. When he arrives at the flower shop , there's this one flower that chatches his eyes. It was unique and pretty. Just like her. So he decided to buy that. "uh c-can i get that flower packed, please?" He did a good job except stuttering bit.(" The cashier was a female) "Oh sure. Just a moment, sir." After paying the flower, he happily walked out , going to the next place. But it took a few hours to get there cause he got lost in the midway. But still managed to get it. He used some shortcuts after getting her necklace. He saw a few ppl bullying middle schooler in this alley. Of course, he can't just ignore that. "Yo," He says as he walks up to them. "Do you know where you are right now?" Hakkai stand in front of them. "Haa?!! what did you say??" They were wearing the same uniform, so probably they're in gang. "Get lost if you dont wanna die!" One of them spitted. Without any hesitation, he took all of em down. "Your under Tomans block you peace of shit." After finishing them up, He looks back at the middle schooler. "You shouldn't be walking alone in places like this, yk. Now go." He coldly says as he goes to get his flower back from the ground and continues minding his business. As he almost reached her house.. he heard a lot of motorcycle noises behind him. And that was the time he realized he needed to.. RUN. He kept running and running. But in the way, he managed to call Taka for help. But eventually he got caught so he had no choice but to fight. "Did you think you can just beat us and go?" From seeing there was almost 80 of em and all of em had an iron rod.

Vroom, vroom.
"Hakkai!.. Hakka- arh-" When Mitsuya arrived, Hakkai was passed out already, completely beaten out. Then ofc because of ppl difference, they both lost. "Ugh.." When Hakkai finally opened his eyes, they were gone already and saw Mitsuya passed out in the corner. "Taka.. Taka.." He unconsciously gets up and walks to him. His vision was still blury. "Get up.. g-get up." He managed to carry him on his back cause his condition looks awful. He knows he needs to take him to the hospital. But then he remembered he was supposed to meet Y/n when he checked his phone..225missed calls, 37msgs from Y/n, past 5am. His heart sinked. "urghh.." Mitsuya coughs in blood. 'What do i do? what should i do? , what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i do? what should i? .. what am i supposed to do?' hospital? i need to meet Y/n?..Taka? ... His mind goes blank he couldnt decide. "Hey... heeeyyyy, HEEYY!!" One guy was running toward him. "Haa.. g-give him to me. I'll take him to the hospital." It was the middle schooler he saved yesterday. "Hu -" He takes Taka from his back. "You should go!" Kai stares at him blankly. "You need to go, right?!! go!!" He shouted. Hakkai finally realized the situation, and he started running.

He saw Y/ns parents' car just moving. "Y/nn!!...Y/N!!!!" He screamed from the back, chasing after the car. "y..n." When she heard her name from back, she immediately rolled down her window and looked back. "Stop.. stop!! Stop the car!!!" She gets off the car as she runs toward him. When they reached each other, she jumped on him, making him stumble back a bit.
"Haaa.. im s-sorry. I- Im really sorry. " Hakkai hugged her tightly while she was crying on his shoulder, wrapping her hand around him. "i thought you're never coming. hic-" His hand trembles as he starts to cry too. "How could i do that to you.. i just -" She kissed him on the lips for the first time. After a few seconds later, she pulled back. His cheeks become red as tomatoes tryna process everything.
"y/n... Let's goo you're gonna be late!" Her mother shouted from a far. At that moment, he remembered he still had her necklace in his pocket. So he gave it to her. "Here. I bought it for you. And I'll explain everything when you get there. Just please text me.." He looks at her guilty. "I-" , "I love you .. Hakkai." She hugs him for the last time. 'ahh its warm.' He leaned into her hug.

-Hakkai's POV:
I couldn't let go of her hand. But i know i had to, so i let her go. That was the last time i saw her. After she went abroad.. we lost contact. I tried to contact her in so many ways and so many times. She just disappeared. A lot happened in my life after our separation. Im sure a lot of happened in her life, too. Im doing.. pretty good. I became a successful model. Now im here.. waiting to meet my new sponsor. I hope you're doing great.. cause after all this painful life without you.. im finally letting you go from my heart..Y/n.
